WARNING: DANGEROUS PRODUCT DESIGN!!!
WARNING:Due to the product discrepancy we have experienced we highly advise you do not by this product...Attached is the email I have sent to corporate about the hazardous product! To whom it may concern,The purpose of this email is to demand proper action, after buying one of Baby Trend’s products, a stroller/car seat combo. We experienced an unacceptable product defect. This is a product discrepancy that could lead to a fatal injury of newborn babies. Customer Service has not taken appropriate action, and the Company should be aware of this so there is a proper investigation in the recall of this product, which it appears Baby Trend has already 4 Stroller Product Recalls at this time.BASIC HISTORY OF PURCHASE ON THIS PRODUCT:On, April 5, 2020, my significant other purchased this stroller after reviewing many other options; style, color, convenience, and the decent reviews On Amazon were the reason she choose your product. Our baby girl Arya was due in June which she was born June 1, 2020.During this COVID epidemic we did not use the stroller portion until July when Arya was then a month old... We have taken it to the store a couple of times and to a park to meet with my sister and her 4 month old... so there has been only a month of use with the stroller...INCIDENT OF THIS FAILED AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PRODUCT:On, August 4, 2020, my significant other Lauren Vito and I took my 2 boys and 2 month old daughter to a park that afternoon. The parking was limited and not very organized due to a construction site in the parking lot. when we exited our vehicle we took the baby out of the car while she was secured in the car seat. We properly connected the car seat to the stroller. There was a parking curb blocking the stroller, so while Lauren was pushing it I told her I would lift the car seat handle with her to get stroller over. As we moved the stroller the car seat broke off from the stroller. In a natural reaction I held the car seat with the baby but at the angle I was the baby position was face down which if she was not properly secured by the 5 point safety strap she would have fell out of the car seat. Lauren in disbelief was in shock and in a frantic state of mind... I then got the baby and the car seat in the correct up right position and was trying to assess the problem. The “Snap Gear Adapter“ Attachment Clip that were poorly secured to the car seat broke off. We were extremely upset and I told her to take pictures that very moment so we can file a complaint.POOR PRODUCT ENGINEERING AND ASSEMBLE FROM CHINA:I am extremely dissatisfied with the Product Engineering and development of this car seat combo. It may look like a nice design, but it is a dangerous and poorly developed stroller. The number one main concern of a parent is the safety of there child. that should also be the number one concern for a company that provides a product to parents as customers. I, for one, have failed to fully inspect the design and fastening function on this product. I would have assumed that the clip attachment was a fabricated structural mold of the car seat, and not a cheap 2 screw separate SNAP Gear Adapter that is literally screwed into a plastic anchor set of the car seat. How this product passed inspection for structural integrity is beyond me. The company should have this product combination recalled due to poor design and no structural integrity... Arya, our baby weighs 10lbs. In no way with the normal circumstances of wear and tear of any product this should happen. The Company should see this as what it is: a dangerous design flaw that could lead to fatal injuries of a infant.I understand there is supply and demand for such products, and everyone is looking to get a quick profit and use China. It is a country known for taking on fabrication and development of the USA products and it’s all cheaply made under unethical environments where American Companies make huge profit gains off of a failed government that is known for problems with human rights and sweat shop environments. This again is another example of this failed system and cheaply made products. As a parent it’s disconcerting to know you cannot trust companies and their products anymore.LAUREN’S EMAIL TO [email protected]:Lauren’s and customer service #11 email‘s are forward with this email. I told her to get in contact with you to take the appropriate actions. Lauren has never had to write a email or call concerning a baby product and I apologize if it was not detailed with specific detail needed with properly plan of action. Although she did speak on the phone about the situation. With the pictures sent I, would have assumed the customer service technician would have seen the seriousness of this situation, but obviously isn’t trained to assess the product and this failed product design. There was no abnormal abuse to the one month old used product. This is strictly a design and fabrication problem that your corporation needs to address especially with the public and the customers that have bought and are using this product. This is not a realistic structural integrity design.I am now sending pictures from today in our yard of the stroller and car seat combination. As you can see this is a poor design and can have fatal injures to infants if not properly addressed.CUSTOMER SERVICE MARC C. “[email protected]”:Lauren spoke with Marc about this situation and he asked for a email with pictures... I believe his response was totally inappropriate due to the circumstances. He suggested due to the fact the return policy of July 28th has passed that we send the product in for maintenance due to the proper parts not assessable to consumers for repair. There is no way we will continue to use this unsafe product. I am demanding the appropriate actions will be taken. Which is a complete refund, and a proper investigation on the recall of this product.CORPORATION AND PRODUCTS:I am in the business of being supplied with products for install. I am a lead Estimator for a Glass Company with extensive knowledge of failed products we use in society. Companies in my trade make cheap products that only last 20 years this is especially true with most house hold products. The idea is to feed a cycle of return in replacement so it feeds the economy and we stabilize a efficient market. But it has only created debt for many in society. Each year I see a new product showcased that when the engineers are forced to find a cheaper way to fabricate these with specification development of using less material matter, but then keep the same ridiculous prices for a cheaply made product. This seems to be the case in this product line.FORWARD TO THE APPROPRIATE SUPERVISOR:I am demanding that due to the lack of knowledge and expertise through the customer service department that this email be forwarded to the appropriate channels of Supervisors to the appropriate Chain of Leadership to get the appropriate action taken. I will be writing a review to warn other potential consumers which are people, parents of infants about my experience with this failed product. I will wait for the appropriate response through your company. If there is not a proper course of action of a full refund due to an unsafe product we will not use and proper investigation of recall on the product I will further get involved. This is about the safety of infants and the reassurance for parents on product safety. Please email with an appropriate response.A Dissatisfied Customer,Joshua K

DANGEROUS!! STAY AWAY & Keep your child Safe, should be recalled!
The media could not be loaded. Car seat locked in during very 1st use coming home from the hospital in pouring rain storm and car seat would not unlock. Seatbelt through & stuck, has to remove him from car seat in the pouring rain & got it to release the following day. Only one side & bar unlocked. This should be recalled, unsafe cheap plastic design mechanisms jammed up/broken.We really liked the stroller, never got to try.Customer service was awful at BabyTrend even after I sent them proof of recent purchase, pictures, detailed description & videos. Thankfully Amazon, who is a good company in my opinion, took the return & refunded me via Gift Card within a few hours of return to UPS store.I had to buy a little more money at Walmart to take him to his first Drs. appointment, the new car seat/stroller 💺 works great everytime so far. 🙏😇
