Bear Archery Traditional Logo Arm Guard, Brown (AT100AG), One Size

This is well made, expected quality from a US manufacturer like Bear. I like their rugged build, but the lacing on this is tricky, and the fit is a bit tight as it is a thick guard, so not recommended for bigger arms. Give stars for American guard that is hard to find.

This is a very nice forearm guard. The cord needs to be longer. This guard was designed to really protect forearms. It provides superb protection. The leading edge, edge near the hand, tends to dig into my arm. That keeps it in position but it does become uncomfortable during extended shooting sessions. The leather used holds it semi-tubular shape extremely well after repeated uses. I'd buy it again.

I have been seriously into traditional archery for over 30 years and shoot a lot. I have tried many arm guards over the years, even comparable thick leather arm guards. There is an extra layer of leather added on the face of the arm guard with the bear logo that protects you from feeling any string slap on your forearm , I mean zero string slap… I was actual shocked lol. If I have to nit pick it would be with the way the string is laced to the arm guard… like most traditional arm guards you have to lace the armguard to work for you. Worth every penny !

The leather and construction is great but it is the size for a child. My forearm is small at 11” in diameter and I loosened the straps as much as possible and it still cuts the circulation off in my arm. The only option for it to work is go buy new elastic cords. They should make the cords a lot longer so you can cut it to size. I saw that in another review as well

The guard is nice leather. The string looks like leather but is elastic material and too tight. Cuts off circulation. Like the guard and I will buy a leather string to replace it. For the price Bear should provide a better tie string.
