If you are light sensitive these are calming to the eye and won't bother you at all. Wonderful amber color that brings warmth, comfort and beauty to a room while setting a mood to calm and relax. I love amber lighting in all my rooms and couldn't go back to traditional bulbs. These are a better value as well rather than buying a two pack at a time.

I can no longer find these in stores so I’m happy to find them still available here. They provide a warm amber glow and have along life for average household use. The price was a great value!

I cannot live without these amber bulbs. Hard to find. Not for task work, but the glow in all my lamps make my home feel warm and elegant. I order these alot, and give some away.

Bright enough to read by, if within 9 feet of you.The first bulb in the pack lasted 6 months, being lit for 6-8 hours a day.Amber bulbs put out an orangey fake-firelight glow, which helps keep you in sleep mode and doesn't attract bugs. At 25W, these are actually brighter than the 40W edison-type bulbs I get from Bulbrite. Whaat? Must be more efficient at converting watts to lumens. Or perhaps the Bulbrite bulbs are mislabeled? Who knows.Bulbs feature a dark amber-tinted glass when new. But - as the bulb wears - the tint gradually fades to blue. The glass toward the base gets the hottest and thus the bluest, while the tip end will stay amber. Not sure how soon the glass starts to fade. I didn't notice the color change until the final month or two. Used to buy these in the store in past years. Those store-bought bulbs NEVER changed color. These bulk packs are not manufactured to the same standard. Or maybe they ruined all bulbs across all outlets. Only GE knows.

I needed these specific bulbs for an antique lamp. I was thrilled to find them, and they give off exactly the right kind of light that I need for that lamp.

I got tired of trying to find these bulbs at all my local stores and decided to try Amazon. So glad they had them and at a great price. Look great with all my craftsman style lamps, chandeliers and sconces.

as a person sensitive to bright, cold lights, these are my favorite lightbulbs. they are warm, soft, and dim. the amber hue fades over time but they remain a nice light till the very end.

what can you say about a lightbulb... they are pretty good and work just fine. Wish they were also available in LED.
