We normally would use the soup/cereal bowls from our dinnerware set for salad. However, when you try to mix in the salad dressing the salad overflows, or, you have to put such tiny portions in. These work perfectly for a decent sized salad with lots of veggies and croutons. They also work great for pasta dishes and rice dishes. They will match just about any dinnerware pattern. These were also cheaper than I found them in a retail store, even with their sale. i highly recommend these bowls.
