Great quality, I just wish I could use it.
The piece feels very well machined, it's super light, and comes with all the tooling necessary to install it, including a miniature torx-bit torque wrench. The finish is really good, no flaws there. My big problem isn't one with the product itself, it's one with my rifle. I have one of the old Ruger American models that has a kinda-sorta picatinny rail. What I mean by that is that the rail on my rifle has two 3-slot sections interrupted by a solid space where the Ruger logo is engraved, then two 2-slot sections at the front and rear of the rail. These have slightly longer raised portions where the screws mounting the rail to the receiver are located. I ended up having to use traditional scope rings instead of this monolithic unit. Down the road if I ever replace my rifle I will utilize this mount on my optic.

Great mount for a sporting rifle
While the Aero Precision Ultralight mount probably won't be procured by any military or law enforcement agencies for duty use, it is an impressively light and seemingly sturdy optic mounting platform. I believe it is suitable for sporting purposes and for emergency defensive use.The vertical split rings are difficult to tighten while also keeping your reticle level. In my experience, once you do get things tightened and torque to proper specs, you shouldn't have any issues. I thought I had properly torqued the mount, but after my first range session, I noticed the scope had moved in the mount. I re-adjusted the scope, ensuring it was properly leveled, then applied blue Loctite (non-permanent) and proper torque a second time. Since then, through many hundreds of rounds, I have had no issues. The scope has held zero despite a few accidental drops.Overall, while the scope has been sturdy after my initial hiccup and adjustment, I prefer a heavier Larue or Geissele mount for fighting carbines. Maybe that's my own psychosis, but if the propensity for conflict is high or the rifle will be carried for long periods in adverse conditions, I would go with a heavier, overbuilt mount like the aforementioned Larue, Geissele, or even a Scalarworks. Those mounts are all 3x-4x the price of the Aero mount, so that is also a consideration.

Great value, holds zero without issue
I have these Aero mounts on several FAs. I have never had any issues with holding zero, or issues of any king for that matter. They are light and just work.If I have one complaint (which is true for most vertically split rings, it is level shifting when tightening down the rings. Once you know what that is, I usually account for .1 to .15 variance (on a digital level) and start the scope 'out of level' by that much. During the process of progressively tightening down the rings it will shift to 0/0, a perfect level.

Does what I need it to do
The item is light weight and of good machine work. It has the feel and finish of magnesium aircraft parts; however, made from good quality aluminum. Only con I observed was the final leveling/mounting of the optic. Due to the design of the upper attachment points, the scope does a significant off leveling when tightening the four screws that hold the optic. You have to pre-tilt the scope so to allow for screw induced tilt and finalize a level mounting.

very nice
this is a very nice low profile lightweight mount. just need to be VERY careful not to over torque the screws or it will destroy the threads in the mount. I would not recommend using the wrench it came with. Use an inch/pound torque wrench and set it to the proper torque values of 15 for the rings and 25 for the base.

Light weight option
If you’re looking to save weight this is a great mounting solution. Very good quality and ounces lighter than my Vortex and Burris 30mm 1913 rail mounts, I will be purchasing again.

Great Optic Mount
So far so good. I mounted this with a Primary Arms 1-6 on a BCM AR. I was mounted and on target fast with little adjustment. After 300ish rounds it hasn’t come loose. It came with a tool and it worked well. Great price and Aero Precision is good quality. Super lite and sturdy. I’ve taken it on one hunting trip. Constantly getting in and out of a vehicle and getting in deer stands. A bump here and there with zero movement of rifle zero. I also keep this rifle in a soft case for traveling. No problems so far. I’m happy with it so far.
