It's better than what I had so I'm happy.
Cons: The white LED's used to basically light up the bed of the truck are pretty much useless. They look good walking to your truck but you can't use them to see anything in the bed of the truck. So I took a star off because the white lights are not bright enough or not aimed appropriately because they do light up the tailgate when closed which again is useless.Pro: Absolutely great looking product. Fits well. Comes with connector that I would assume is the correct connector. Wires look really good. The housing looks good and dark. The LED's also look really nice, aligned, and fast acting.Notes: I did not try to get to the connector under the headliner. It might be easy or hard, I don't know. I took the easy and lazy way out which was to cut and solder the wires together. You can see what I did in the images. This is what I did, I'm not saying this is what you should do but I soldered the two black wires together, the green and blue wire together, and the white and black/blue wire together. Of course make sure you heat shrink or electrical tape each connection. And then of course I have a comparison of the two together. Again, if I were to do it again I would see if I could get to the connector under the headliner.

it didn't fit my truck.
i have a 2002 Ford 150 extend cab. the item did not fit. first i couldn't do it myself. i tried. so it took me a couple of months before i could get with a buddy to help me install it. i am handy but not with vehicle body work. he had to remove two round tabs holding the headliner up located above the back row seats. i had hold the headliner open enough for him to find and unlatch it from the roof framework. then he had to unplug the old one and plug the new one up. that was not very easy, not super difficult either. but after finally getting it all plugged in. i then tried to screw the new light assembly in and didn't fit. the new assembly was too thick. the screw holes on the new light assembly lined up ok with old screw holes but once i screwed them in. the light assembly had gaps all the way around between the new light assembly and the truck. it would not screw flush and tight against the truck. i would have had to put a great deal of caulking to make sure it wouldn't leak in a downpour.

I like the look
I like the look, the unit arrived quickly, was easy to install and fit the opening. Less than six months after installation, the white LED lights began to fail and currently only three of the eight three-light strips work. Have written the seller asking them to replace or address.

Very bright light, good quality.
Very bright light. Has center brake light, and outside white bed lights. Fit 98 F-150 very well. Did not come with mounting screws, have to use originals or find new hardware. Note: The 2 black wires coming out the rear of light are your ground wires, and the other two colored wires are your brake light, and outside white bed lights.

Looks Good, Don't Expect it to Last
There must be an internal timer inside this light assembly. The warranty lasts for 90 days and not long after that time did I have 3 of the white LEDs fail. 5 months after that, 3 more are flickering like they are on the way out. All I can say is this one may be a case of "you get what you pay for."

I did not know that smoked lights will not pass ...
I did not know that smoked lights will not pass inspection. They did not mention this anywhere in their ad. Also, it doesn't fit real snug up into the plastic surrounding.

Worked as advertised; good value but difficult to install.
Was not exact fit (seemed like it should have curved in the other direction), but does fit and works correctly. I have not noticed any leaking. The vendor did correctly warn that this unit is recommended for professional installation. I eventually had to cut open the headline on my 1998 F-150 to unplug the old unit and plug in the new one due to Ford's original design. I don't think there is any way to avoid this problem.
