Fine Speaker, with the Issues All Speakers have
This is primarily a guitar speaker. Any guitar speaker is one part of a complex system that produces tone. With some amp-guitar-cab-locations, this speaker will have harsh highs. With other amp-guitar-cab-locations, it may be the best sound you ever heard.Played through a Gilmore Jr. amp with a humbucker, it sounded fairly harsh. Playing it in combo with a Vin30 sounded a lot better, but not ideal. Switching to a Marshall JTM45 completely resolved the harshness, and gave a great bluesy tone. This was not just about playing it more to break it in. After I heard it sound great on the JTM45, I tried it back on the other amp. Still harsh over there. I haven't even tried it with a single coil pickup yet. I hear that may be yet another step toward better tone.Note that this is pretty much a solder connections only speaker. It doesn't have the little blade tabs to friction-connect to.

sound fantastic
I used to have a mix of G12m 25s and g12h 30's... the sensitivity/efficiency differences and tone differences in the speakers got on my nerves after a while. I ordered these (g12H) and love them... pretty good bass, mid and high end that works brilliantly thorugh a plexi style amp/treble booster situation. I love the sound..and that's before they are even broken in well. great buy

Best new greenbacks I’ve heard!
The best replacement speaker I’ve ever used, Installed two in a Marshall 2/12 cab from the eighties. And what beautiful tone highs, mids, lows. True classic tone. I’m currently using this as an extension cabinet for my DSL40.As for all you new guys I’ve been playing around with tone since 1978 so this review might have some value. ROCK ON !!

Lives up to the promise
Tried this with my 5 amp vibrochamp and it's out of this world. Rich, lots of depth, breaks up just right. Hard to beat.

Cet excellent haut parleur est venu compléter mon clone du Fender tweed deluxe et c'est tout simplement du bonheur pour mes oreilles et peut-être celles des autres, mais après cela dépend de mes mains
