Exceeded Expectations!
These stands are heavy 1/4" metal, are very sturdy & support up to 100 lbs. (not listed in product description on web) & are easily assembled. They come with 2 types of feet a spike type for thick carpet or a rounded rubber foot (which I had to use as the carpet in my apartment is thin), both of which are adjustable in height. The stands come with a channel in the back to feed the speaker wire through so it looks as good as possible. They also come with 4 double (front & back) piecesof velcro to secure the speaker to the top of the stand. When moving the stand, I would suggest removing the speaker from the stand just to be safe. I used a laser level (with additional bubble level) on the top of the stand checking that it was leveled front to back and also left to right. They look great in the room & I couldn't be happier with the purchase!

Three Stars
Looks good but for my speakers (event 20/20) are a bit too light.

As promosed, well designed and sturdy.
The stands are well made and have extra features like carpet studs and hidden wire routing. The packaging internal to the box didn't stand up to shipping very well, but the thery are made out of metal and hard to hurt. Assembly is easy, and made easier by the tools required to assemble the stands being included. The supplied hook and loop didn't work with my older Polk speakers, as they have rubber feet that raises the bottom of the speaker too much for the adhesive surface to make contact. However I've not had any issues with stability or the speekers being knocked off. Overall, worth the money.

When I purchased these stands, I was certain that I'd give them 5 stars ~ Read below to see why they only deserve 1
I purchased these speaker stands because virtually every reviewer had given them 5 stars. Unfortunately my experience with them has been nothing but negative, which I'll explain below.Upon opening the carton they arrived in, I was greeted by an abundance of broken pieces of styrofoam. When I say broken pieces, I mean broken into so many tiny pieces, that when I removed the stands from the box, it looked like a snowstorm was taking place in my living room. That was the good part, as it all went downhill from there. The instructions that come with the stands are poorly written, so it's best to look at a picture of them online to see how they're supposed to be assembled. Well, I can tell you that my experience was the most frustrating of any product that I've ever purchased from Amazon. While I was able to assemble one of the stands, I was unable to assemble the other. The reason why I couldn't assemble the second stand is because the holes that were drilled for the screws were done so in the wrong location. That made it impossible to align the screws with the holes that were already drilled by the manufacturer. In addition, there were parts included with the stands that are meant for a different product, not the stands that I purchased. Also, one of the eight screws needed to assemble the stands was stripped. Had I kept this item, it would have been necessary to go to a hardware store to purchase a replacement screw. As I prepared to return these to Amazon, I also noticed that the Bell'O logo on one of the stands had fallen off. It seems that the glue used to hold it on was insufficient. For the price paid for these stands, you would expect that the company logo would be permanently screwed onto the stands, not stuck on with cheap glue. While I prefer to buy products manufactured in the USA, I have no problem with products manufactured in China, that is if they're made well. These had the potential to be made well, but in the case of the ones I received they weren't.While these stands look fabulous on the Amazon website, if you end up getting a defective pair, as I did, you'll be extremely upset. Not only are these extremely heavy to bring back to UPS, but they are extremely difficult to repack, as all the styrofoam is damaged, as mentioned above. These stands certainly could have been manufactured to a high standard, but as mentioned, in the case of the ones that I got, they weren't. Based on all of the 5 star reviews, others have been luckier than me. If you want to roll the dice and take a chance that yours will arrive in a condition that will enable you to assemble them, I wish you the best. For $150 I certainly expected a much better experience than this.As an added note, I contacted the company to complain about the way these speakers arrived. I heard nothing back. That says a lot in itself.

Color is black
By looking at pictures, I thought these stands had a red tint to them. But the a purely black, which is not noted in description. The other thing not noted is that there is some assembly required. Usually not a big deal and there aren't too many parts. BUT in this case the holes don't line up well (yes I'm assembling correctly). So assembly has become rather difficult and has lead to some scratches. It's a fairly nice looking stand, but with the experience I've had, I would've shopped further. Note that there are several sellers of this item on Amazon, I unfortunately chose the most expensive of the two (noticed this later of course).

Great quality - Simply Elegant Design
Bell'O continues to make great-looking, well-built accessories for A/V equipment, and these stands are no exception. The design of these speaker stands is not only attractive, but provides a means to hide your speaker wire. Further, they come with a set of spikes for carpeted floors (these can be removed for hardwood floors). They also come with velcro fasteners to safeguard against the speaks falling off. I was a little skeptical at first about how well this would work, but the speakers have never fallen off, even in the process of moving the stands around, and I have fairly large bookshelf speakers sitting on them. The metal is a lightweight steel that appears to be welded together (there are no visible fasteners). I suppose the stands could be drilled and your speakers attached with mounting screws if you are uncomfortable with your speakers being attached with just velcro to the stand (note - my speakers have screw mounts on the bottom, but I am not using them because the velcro system works well). I purchased this model specifically because it requires no assembly at all, but I would purchase any Bell'O product based on experience.

Works Good, but arrived Damaged
These are good speaker stands but they arrived with one speaker seating area bent that can't be bent back as the metal is too tough. Fitted 14g speaker wire through the cable management easily. Comes with enough Velcro to attach 2 speakers (1 pole each) easily.
