Looks great and works great
So far, we love it. Please know that the chimney cover needs to go on first, then hang the unit. Connect duct and wiring, then slide the top half of the chimney cover up, and screw with the 2 screws. Also, the two screw holes on the supporting bracket are supposed to go front and back, not left and right. I learned this all the hard way.

Decent value - higher grade stainless material
I needed an island hood and most options out there are very pricey except for this particular line/style of hoods. Akdy sells one, GE sells one, etc. All look the same and probably made in China. So why pay more for this one than the Akdy? The answer is in the details. According to the z-line site, they are using a higher grade 18 gauge SS304 brushed stainless steel body. This is important for corrosion resistance and strength. The downside of this hood... you get what you pay for vs. a full custom island hood installation.- Instructions are terrible.- The sleeve shipped with a ding in it, but we were able to bend it out a little and mount it and so it's mostly hidden at the very top against the ceiling.- Some of the lights weren't working, but it turned out to be loose leads so a little tape on the press fit unions fixed it.- The electrical cord doesn't make any sense... either you need to hide an electrical outlet inside the ceiling (not up to code) or you need to cut the plug off and just tie the wires up directly (you need to be comfortable with basic electrical wiring to do this).- The tolerances on the main unit seemed a little loose so it doesn't hang on the bracket perfectly straight.- The sleeve itself (once seated), will have a pretty noticeable gap at the joint even after it's screwed in.Tips/Hints:- The mounting bracket does NOT allow for anything less than a 32" installation height (so unless you have a high ceiling, it's going to sit low). This was a bummer for us.- The actual width is NOT 30"... it's 29... so if you install over a 30" stove/range make sure you measure from the wall accordingly to get it perfectly centered.Overall, I wanted to give them more stars. The value is there, but I wish I had more of this info before we started the remodeling process and installation.

Sleek, with Well-Designed Features.
This sleek unit was much admired by our kitchen designer for its front and backside control buttons mounted above the glass, which allow for the largest filter screen and blower exhaust for a unit of its size. This leaves a flat, concave surface for easier cleaning. Its bright lamps at the four corners can be tilted and are excellent. It floats above a countertop/bar combo on one side of the kitchen. Installing and sealing the hood was a challenge for the builder's workman.

Be careful of getting dented product.
I really like the look and style and functionality of the hood. But I had to order it twice. The first one came With a discount but was pretty badly dented. In the second one came at full price but it was also dented. I think the shipping and the packaging need to be improved.

Beware of incorrect specificatons.
The description states that this is a 760 CFM hood however, ZLINE's website states that this range hood is 400 CFM. Other websites that sell this range hood also stat 400 CFM.Also, ZLIne states that the metal is 21g #430 Stainless Steel, not 18g, 304 as stated by one of the reviews.

Horrible instructions
I must admit it looks nice if you can put it on. But the instructions are horrible, I mean horrible. I re-did our kitchen and install everything myself. Cabinets, appliances etc. but this range hood, it is a beast to work on. So do yourself a favor, find somebody (qualified) to do the job.
