Leviton 40539-PMW Midsize Telephone Wall Jack, 6P4C, White

this is a simple device that does not require a cover plate to go along with the phone jack that most require. It is also a bit oversized so nice if the drywall hole is a little too big. I easily spray painted it to match the trim and wiring was a snap.remember blue wire in wall goes to red wire screw on jack and white wire with blue goes to green wire screw on jack. that is LINE ONE and all that is needed to wire up in most homes.

Yes, some homes still have land lines--often to provide added safety through redundancy . This wall jack was used to replace an extremely ugly, yellowed combination phone jack and wall hanger--a real eyesore. The mid size was needed to cover the wider opening left by that wall plate.For pocket change, it transformed the appearance of the entire wall. Solid construction with easy to use screws. This faceplate should last without cracking from mounting screw pressure. Works. What’s to say?

Needed a white cover after painting my living room and could only find cream in the stores.

Looks great and works perfectly.NOTE: This is PRE-WIRED it does not require separate YRGB to connect the screws to the pins. This is a nice feature and should be a selling point.
