Pro Art Charcoal Set, 12 Count (Pack of 1), Black Piece

Arrived in good packaging and nothing was broken. Used during a figure drawing session and they worked very well. Beautiful color and application.

Bought these for a chalk pastel projects I was doing with some children. I was very pleased with the quality of the chalk and the selection of colors. The photo doesn't quite do the pastels justice and they are more vibrant in person which was perfect for this project. The children loved it and so did the parents. Look forward to doing more projects with these.

Just recently I have developed an interest in using different coloring tools. I came across an adult coloring book and saw it as an opportunity to practice with these items. The Pro Art Chalk pastel Set provides a rich, vivid variety of colors that includes white as well as a shade or two that are a tad darker than white. Plus the chalk is nice and thick and holds up nicely under pressure. In my particular situation the clouds in the picture that I am coloring are already on a white paper background so the white chalk for the clouds really cannot be seen. (no surprise there). Perhaps I need to try white paint for the clouds in order to achieve the effect that I am looking for. My apologies as I digress here... Suffice it to say that the Pro art Chalk Pastel Set, 36 Color...is a great buy for adult use. I highly recommend this product.

I used the pastels on some plaster statues.. I use to use a chalk they sold at the white goods shop and wasn't sure the pastels would be the same but they were.. my statues turned out professional and with a shot of clear coat they will be enjoyed for years.. The only thing is I wish they would have deeper colors and a better spectrum .. there were to many blues to close to each other .. same with the yellows and reds.. but I worked around it and since the finished product was I wanted all is fine,,

I bought these to update my monthly calendar that I hang in our hallway. Previously I have been using chalk markers, and I am SO glad someone recommended these to me! For one thing, the colors are so much more vibrant and I have way more color options! I find that the chalk stays in place well, but is way easier to wipe off when I need to. I will for sure be buying these chalk pastels again.

Used these for chalk art in my driveway - definitely a harder material with less smooth lines than standard chalk, and much messier, but the pigment is excellent for doing cartoon outlines, and one piece lasts much longer than regular chalk would, even with a heavier hand. Definitely satisfied with my purchase!

When social distance learning came about I made a chalk board walk for my daughter and these were amazing. Chalk is vibrant and easy glide.

The pastels are good quality, pleasant to work with them. Unfortunately there is a toxicity warning on the package.

Great to work with, goes down on kraft paper well. Nice set of colours, and goes great alongside some charcoal. Can't recommend these enough.

I use these with an eye shadow applicator to apply colour and soft-colour sketching; I also sketch with them directly. They are at a great price for a good variety of shades. Worth buying.

Opened the box and all arrived in one piece, no breakage. I have to do my swatches yet but the colours look good and they are big so should last a long time.
