I make Bento-type Lunches for my kids ages toddler to 10yo. I first started with the plastic lunch boxes with multiple sections. Then changed over to the stainless kind to get away from all the plastic, allow me to do both warm and cold lunch options, and make cleanup easier and faster with less parts.A common theme among those who make lunch boxes for their kids is the use of silicone cupcake liners as smaller containers to separate food inside. However, the cupcake silicone liners are often too short and thin, causing spillage of food to other parts of the lunch. (Imagine yogurt or raspberries spilling onto the bread or Mac n Cheese).DIMENSIONS - SEE PICS:The stainless bento containers I got are 2” tall interior with an 1/8th additional allowance in the lid. These Miniware Silipods without the lid are 2 1/8” - which means any fruit I put in this 4oz rigid Silipod will be perfectly contained with my bento lid on. The Silipod can hold about 4oz of food, which is a perfect amount of fruit serving or yogurt for kids lunches.MATERIAL:According to the company, they’re BPA, BPS, Lead and Cadmium FREE. Microwaveable, Dishwasher Safe, Freezer Safe, Food-Grade Silicone. I try to do the 4 food groups for lunches and usually only the fruit needs to be in it’s own container so I mainly use it for that, but the warm foods will abut against it so it needs to withstand the heat. I had warm pasta with pesto sauce next to it one time and it did not stain nor effect the Silipod. This Silipod silicone is thicker and more rigid, so little to no chance of it bending as easily as cupcake silicone liners, and a lot easier to clean with a smooth interior. It also feels like it’ll last for many years to come, even with my kid’s daily use and abuse.SHAPE:Having one side of it being curved is HUGE - it ensures less wasted space. Most bentos and lunchboxes in general on the market have curved interior corners. As of the date of this review, Silipods are the ONLY silicone container that is shaped this way; I searched in every category on Amazon AND drove to all the local major retail chains. No retailer carried anything that came close. None.I’m thrilled with my purchase. Few baby products transition to still be useful when the kids are older. This is one of them. I bought these to put dog/cat treats in so I could sneak giving treats and everyone wouldn't come running. Some times it works some times it doesn't but I like have the little containers on my desk to share.

I keep hearing things about micro plastics so I figured silicone was a safer alternative. These little containers are great for toddler portions and they wash well in the dishwasher. They are a little expensive but if they made bigger ones or bento boxes I would totally be purchasing.

Daycare doesnt allow us to bring glass containers and Im not a fan of plastics for my baby. I found these and they work really well for puree containers! Great alternative to plastic if glass isn't an option. So far no leakage issue and they clean well.

My daughters daycare does not allow glass in the toddler room so I had to find another non plastic option. I also was looking for something microwaveable to prevent them having to transfer food into plastic to be microwaved. These are perfect! They are leakproof so far in my experience, durable and easy to clean. I just wish they came in more sizes!

These Silipods are adorable, and just the right size for a toddler's snack. They are small, so my child can hold this by themselves easily. They are made of quality silicone. And the kids fit tightly. Note that they are leakproof, but if you apply pressure to the sides of the container, you can inadvertently open the lid. So I try not to put things like yogurt in this, at least for trips out of the house.These are great to send to daycare, as they don't allow glass. Also great for playdates, as I can easily toss them in my bag and go.The size is small - but that helps me. I tend to over-pack snacks -- always worrying about the next hangry meltdown, I forget that toddlers graze more than eat full portions.These are easy to clean, either by running them through the dishwasher or washing them quickly by hand. Not much sticks to silicone.

These are nice but extremely small. Can’t hold much in it
