Well....
We hesitated to buy since it only has two settings but we thought it was still a great deal. The fan worked flawlessly for about a month although it emits a high-pitched hum when plugged in but not in use. It is gently used on a nightstand. Suddenly, the low setting stopped working altogether. Now, we only can operate it on high speed which is rather unfortunate. It still sort of works, so I suppose mission accomplished?

LOW quality (somewhat noisy - ever with maintenance) but it works every day.
I've used this product now for 4 years and while it works just fine, even now, it takes a lot of TLC and maintenance. Unless you are willing to remove the grille and the blades every few months to clean and oil it, this fan will start making huge noise and will eventually stop turning completely on the slowest speed. It's probably not a very great value but it still works, even today as I am writing this eval.

It does seem to be a pretty sturdy little fan
I purchased this fan specifically because of the wording "industrial-grade" and "high-velocity". I was hoping this would block out noises in the night for my kids. Unfortunately (in my case), the fan is very quiet. It does seem to be a pretty sturdy little fan. I would give it a 4 or 5 on its construction. Compared to other fans I've had, I don't know that I would personally refer to this one as high-velocity. It moves a decent amount of air for a small fan, but I was not overly impressed.

Strong!
I usually kept a bedside fan on all the time, on high. But this guy, I'm just fine with low-med. By the way, the description says it's a 2-speed, but mine has 3. It's either a misprint in the write-up or they sent me the wrong one. It's very strong but a little loud. I'm still trying to get used to it. But it is great fan.

Not a good fan
This Optimus fan was purchased to replace a Lakewood fan that we had for a long, long time and finally died. Wanted another Lakewood, couldn't find them anymore so bought the Optimus. We have had it about 18 months. It runs a lot, probably every day.The Optimus fan's base comes loose from the cage so if you have it tipped upward somewhat, it will not stay in that position. Get out your screwdriver and tighten it down and it will stay for a while, maybe a couple weeks, but then comes loose again. The low speed switch quit one day out of the blue, so now only runs on the higher, louder speed, which is fine I guess for our application but still it indicates that it is a cheap fan. No wire handle on the back, lighter gauge wire used in cage = more proof of a cheap fan. Yeah, it moves air ok and the low speed was reasonably quiet while that lasted, but this is not a very good fan.We needed another fan after we got this one and bought a Massey fan instead for a few bucks more. The Massey fan is a lot better.

recommended for sure
i dont know what all the fuss is about with other customers and their reviews being so low and negative, but it borderline exceeded my expectations. sure it says industrial, guess what, its a 9 inch 23 dollar fan. how industrial can it be, it is all metal construction and all joints are tight with no squeaking or abnormality. heck the wire guard is screwed together rather those pivoting clips that always get bent. that is a plus. and someone said cant direct it down. well that is for sure not gonna happen unless you manipulate and flip the fan on the stand. doesnt bother me though. and between the 2 speeds they blow much harder than i expected for a 9 in fan. bottom line is the fan is worth all 23 dollars it cost.

An all around waste!
There is nothing about this fan that is industrial. I ordered it thinking that the industrial strength would make up for its small stature ... This is not true. It has a switch button on the back of the fan that only has two levels (if you want to call them that). The levels are exactly the same speed... slow.... and the same amount of wind.... very little. I will try my best to try to return it. I really was disappointed in this. If you are wanting to have something for background noise only.... level two seems to be a little louder than the first level. If you are the type of person that keeps a fan on when your sleeping... don't get this fan it will be burnt out in no time.If your the kind of person that wants to achieve cooler air by circulating with a high-velocity fan.... don't buy this fan it doesn't work like that.If your the kind of person that just wants to make it look like you like having a nice fan... then you should buy this fan. It is cute/ little/ and will not get in your way by pushing wind like its suppose to.

So I bought an airplane engine.
This fan. Ugh! Noisy and absolutely no air flow. This is in no way a reflection on the seller, only the item. This thing sounds like an airplane taking off, no joke. As previously stated, there is NO air coming from this thing at all! Even on the highest setting.

Avoid this Fan
Received fan today, shipped in original box and not a shipping box. Plugged fan in, turned on and both speeds worked. Turned off then heard a pop - smoke started coming from motor, no longer functioned. Lasted less than one minute. Additionally, very light weight, causing the fan to vibrate on the table - for the one minute it worked. Recommendation - Buy something else!

no tan industrial
no se que tan industrial pueda ser un ventilador del tamaño de la palma de mi mano. 22 cms es realmente muy pequeño, me fui por la finta de la imagen.
