F.A. Dumont Prinknash Incense Basilica

I bought some Basilica many years ago while on a visit to Prinknash Abbey and thought I would like to once again enjoy that memorable aroma. I have to say that personally for myself, the memory is better than the realty. Nothing wrong with this original and still wonderful aroma though, just that my love of and collection of incense has increased since. I particularly appreciate Boswellia Carterii from Somalia, dirty and unwashed and not prepared for the western market! Difficult to get hold of in the UK. Basillica tends to smoke heavily, not a bad thing if it's what you prefer, however, because the resins are soaked in essential oils of which the former remains a trade secret, they make me cough somewhat. Not so with my wife who prefers Basillica above all. I do feel that it's a tad overpriced but that is par for the course for all imported goods including incense because of impending Carbon Tax.Plan-demic.Turn off the TV and turn on the brain. Break the house arrest. Refuse the theft of DNA under false pretence/testing. Refuse the Carcinogenic non Vegan/Islamic jab. Stand up people.

Have used this before and knew what to expect, a pleasant rich scent not over sweet.

Basilica is a wonderful incense and not too heavy when used for private devotions.

Really disappointed as I’ve been buying prick ash for so many years I automatically buy the large box. Usually a superb brand but the Basilica incense produces an absolutely foul acrid smoke. It is actually unbearable so a huge waste of money.
