We used this on our ANSI compliant exterior door and it fit without a single modification to the frame. The depth just fit without being snug and requiring any torque to bring it flush with the frame. There is no buzz when the strike activates, but there is a click that is audible and most people notice it without being told. The strike comes with solid mounting hardware and a fantastic template for cutting your door frame (if necessary). The instructions are also clear and concise.

I purchased this product as a proof of consept so it was hardly used. When we first connected the lock it worked. Because of covid we had to wait for other parts and the door lock didn't get used. After sitting for about 6 months, unused, we reconnected the lock and it would not work consitantly. When laying horizontal or upside down it worked, however when placed right side up it sometims times worked. Super frustrating. The other part that is frustrating is the seller only has a 90 day warranty on the lock. When I called, they told me to contact the manufacture for returns. I install electric strike locks on a daily basis and this is the first time I have used Amazone to purchase locks. It will probably be the last. When locks dont work or have a good warranty customers locations are not safe.

Installed 3 for a client, have already had to replace 2 in 2 weeks. Hopefully these ones are better.
