I usually try to purchase products on Amazon with a high review. I saw the review on this product and couldn't believe it , nothing gets a 5. Anyway I purchased it and found out why, best pool shock I have ever used. We had Black Algea spores popping up after about 6 straight days of rain and I usually shock the pool then the next day use a steel brush to get them loose. Well I shocked the pool and 4 hours later went back to scrape the algea off. I couldn't believe this product not only loosend them they were gone , 100% gone. The water was much clearer and blue. Well worth the money. Great great product.

After a freak storm damaged my pool last summer I purchased a new pool this year and knew after the pain my previous pool was too keep clean off algae I needed to find something more than just chlorine tabs to keep my new pool clean and hopefully to last at least until my teens are grown. I'm so glad I researched and purchased this pool shock. Every few weeks when I notice the grime building up I just dump a bag in, use a net to stir it up a bit, and by morning it's clear again. I've gotten quite a few compliments on how clear and clean my pool looks. I also love that it came with pH strips which is helpful too.Only complaints are that even after stirring and having my pump running 24/7 there's particles clumped and settling at the bottom of my pool and it's so hard to clean up. (Not sure if I'm doing it right.) Second is that it's a bit pricey for what you get but what can we expect in a chlorine shortage in pandemic times? Hopefully the costs will go back to normal once things settle because this is a worthwhile purchase but not if it ends up costing more to purchase than paying someone to maintain for me.

Used for my above ground pool 6'X9'52" and water fountain. Clears water very quickly. Only small amounts needed. Just make sure item is sealed or will rust any nearby metal parts and cabinet.

Product keeps chemical level stable.

This is a great product, easy to use, and lasts a long time. We have a 42” deep above ground and just followed a YouTube video I found. Packaging was excellent and comes with 6, 1 lb bags inside a larger bag. We opened the 1 lb bag and while using a glove pour coin dollar size amounts in the palm of my hand toss into the pool, do this 10 times while walking around the pool. Use your skimmer to give it a final mix.We follow with the arm and hammer clear blue tablet in the pump basket, and 1 chlorinating puck in the puck float. We do the shock and clear blue tablet together each time, and the chlorine puck as needed.The first time around our levels were good after shocking twice bc the chlorine levels were not high enough. If you do not want to add shock to increase chlorine, you can buy other products, or just straight bleach.Ive seen negative reviews on this product due to it not breaking up algae.... I did research on this and this product will not break up algae forming on your pool. If you get algae starting to grow at the bottom you will need to scrub first, or get creative and glide your feet along the bottom and sides to break this up. Then you can shock the algae. Should see results in as little as 24 hours! Make sure you test your water and adjust as needed. Test strips are easy to use.Hope this helps. If you did find this helpful please hit helpful below. I've purchased this brand for years and have been pleased every time. The product seems to change packaging every year or two but the product remains the same in terms of cleaning water. I'd like it if the company stopped changing its packaging so it 'd stay the same like I expect of dependable products.
