great handheld saw
Superb tool. The two of us each have one. One of the best saws I have ever used. Somehow it is much more accurate than your high-end jigsaw or other handheld power saw: I can cut on the line, any straight or curvy line, across an entire 4x8 sheet of plywood - as is necessary when making boats, for instance. It is not daunted by thick or hard wood. It is not fast, which may be part of the advantage. It is also very good at tiny detail trimming, where you might think of using a scroll saw or handheld fret - for instance roughing out a violin or 'cello bridge (which you finish with a file). It is probably not built for the tough demolition work that I have put it to - tearing down walls and cutting up derelict boats (where you would ordinarily use a tiger saw) - but it has not lost its accuracy, just looks real beat-up and the removable transparent guide has gotten messed up. A great tool.

Solid quality tool
Already owning several high-capacity M12 batteries for other Milwaukee cordless tools makes it really easy to get a top-quality tool like the Jig saw at a modest cost. Everything works and it has a great feel in your hand. It is powerful and the absence of a power cord is really wonderful when following a scrolling cut without worrying about dragging a cord into the blade. Roller guide keeps the blade in place and there is good visibility of the cut with a really helpful light on the work. The M12 system with brushless motors has amazing long-lasting power without the weight and bulk of higher voltage tool families.

Doesn't get any easier then this
Probably the easiest jig saw to use on the market imho. It might not be the biggest and baddest, but it'll put in the work. I've cut out a ton with this thing.... Including hardwood flooring for vents, hardibacker boards, and rockboard on the side of a house for ventilation as well as a manufactured homes with rockboard for underside, so TONS of dust and gunk that can probably kill this thing, but it has never died or hiccuped once.Only thing that did happen to me, while cutting rockboard, the blade somehow started cutting the plastic guide and running its own route, which was 2 second fix, but might have been from me pushing to hard, or turning to fast.etc, didn't harm the function of t he saw so its fine.

Decent, a lil heavy
I needed this for a job cutting in twenty speaks for a TI job. My assistant, a little impatient, had some trouble with the device and hated it, but he could not seem to understand you do not need to go full-throttle cutting drywall. Once I took over, I found the device easy to use and maneuverable. I wish the pilot light was stronger. In the first 2.5 seconds it is blocked with dust working overhead. Will run all day on a standard m12 battery, no need for the 4 or 6. I'd buy it again.

one tool for it all
When all you have is one cutting tool, you use it to do everything. All you need is a pencil, a good ruler, and a steady hand.

Milwaukee Quality and Affordable
This is a great addition to anyone's M12 toolbox. Works well, powerful, small and flexible. Nice feel, well balanced, runs well. Cuts smooth and easy to handle. Another great Milwaukee tool. Does NOT come with battery - thus the great price - but works flawlessly with my other M12 system batteries.

New Jig Saw
I bought this for my husband for Christmas. I chos,e it as it is compatible with his other Milwaukee battery powered tools. It does not come with a battery but since we have others, that was not an issue. However, it ,also did not come with even one blade so we had to purchase those after he opened it. Once we did and he used the jig saw, I’m told that it works great and is perfect for his needs.
