Just buy it! I super recommend it!
The media could not be loaded. This upgrade is amazing! My Maglite was a "just ok" flashlight for me. Bought this and now is my go-to flashlight. The upgrade on the intensity and quality of the light is 1000%.Before was just a dim, yellow light. Now it's an intense, white light and I love it.I don't understand how other people had issues installing it. JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! It's that simple. Took me like 3 minutes. You can even adjust the beam as you can see in the video.Take my word for it: if you wanna upgrade (significantly) your old Maglite, just buy this and enjoy.Hope this helps.

Great brightness and easy to install
The light is much brighter than the original bulb. Easy to install just pull the old bulb out and plug new bulb in and screw down top. The new bulb takes up a little space when screwing down the top but not much so works good. Here is the part that had me puzzled on other peoples reviews. Not sure what other people are talking about when they say don't use the new lens that comes with the bulb because it's too dark or not clear so the flashlight is not as bright and suggest to use the existing lens. Maybe those people should try to pull off the green protective packing film that covers both sides of the clear lens. One side of the film is clear the other side is a light green color hence the reduction in brightness. Once both sides of the film are removed the lens is perfectly clear as it should be. I would use the new lens.

Nice aa-cell maglite upgrade
My mom asked me to replace the batteries in her old aa-cell maglite. While putting in some new lithium aa cells, I cleaned the lens and the reflector for her. Because of age, wear and tear, and the general perception that the old bulb just wasn't all that bright, I went in search of a led upgrade. This item might be a bit more costly than some of the options out there but it's proven to be worth every penny. She has a Very bright light that fits her hand well and will last a very long time before the batteries need to be changed again.Win!

New life for an old flashlight
I have a couple of pretty old AA Maglite's that I carry in various places. I went to check batteries the other day and wondered if there might be a way to convert them to LED so they would last longer. Sure I could just buy a new one, but I hated the idea of tossing the old one and the new LED ones are kinda pricey.A quick Amazon search revealed that yes indeed, there is a way to upgrade the old lights to LED.The bulbs are kind of expensive...you can buy a complete new incandescent Maglite for about the same price as just the bulb. That's really my only complaint. But it's still cheaper than a whole new light.Installation was easy. Worked first try. The light is much brighter and whiter than before. Cool! The lights I put these in are generally "emergency" lights, so usually the batteries need to get replaced from old age before going dead. But it's nice to know that I should be able to get more life out of them should the need arise.

A Mini-Mag must
Way back in the day, I used to work as a police officer. I cut my teeth on night and evening shifts and pretty much worked those shifts for a large portion of my career. When I started patrolling the streets, back in 1986, I carried a Mini-Mag flashlight on my belt as a backup to the old Maglite rechargeables. When I was working nights and my life was on the line, a backup light was a must. At the time I started my law enforcement career, I had been around for 22 years. The Mini-Mag AA flashlight had been around for only two. It came out in 1984.Believe it or not, those dim halogen and xenon bulbs we had were thought to be bright back then. As dim as a Maglite rechargeable flashlight seems now, the tiny Mini-Mag, with its xenon bulb, was super dim. By today’s standard, the Mini-Mag seemed more suited for covert operations than a situation where you needed amble light. Other than a need for low light, the Mini-Mag flashlight could be seen as obsolete today. That, of course, changed with the advent of the LED bulb. Now, when LEDs first came out, they were dim as well, but further developments have made them so impressively bright, up against the halogens and xenons, those things are able to turn night into day by comparison. So, the Litt Industries 104 lumen LED upgrade conversion bulb is a most welcomed improvement. It has completely reinvigorated my old Mini-Mag flashlight. It has actually made it relevant and useful again. This is a bright bulb and will bring new life to your old tired and dim Mini-Mag flashlight. And with all the accessories you can purchase for your Mini-Mag flashlight (bite holders, tail cap switches, etc.), this LED bulb has risen it to its former glory and made the Mini-Mag a great lighting tool again. With this LED conversion, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed, and you’ll wonder how you ever saw anything with your old xenon bulb.

Performed great, but failed in 1 yr. Warranty replacement received. No questions asked.
I purchased this LED upgrade for my 2AA Mini-Mag that is at least 22 years old. The upgrade was easy to install, light output was much higher and power consumption was much lower. It worked great but it quit out of the blue after about a year. Not sure what caused it. I registered the 6 year warranty via email soon after I bought it, so I sent an email to Litt about the warranty. I got an email back in 1 business day stating a replacement was in the mail. It was that easy. Replacement arrived in 3 days. The old Maglite is back in business. I'm very happy with the LED itself, beside the unexpected failure, but that's understandable, on rare occasion electronic parts just die, but the warranty service was perfect. I recommend this LED, and I definitely recommend Litt as a company that stands by its product.

Also need a button
I actually broke my mini maglight putting this together. Pretty sure it wouldn't turn off if it had worked because you can't screw the top down enough after the led is in place. So, you have to buy an endcap button to turn it off. By that point, you've spent $10 than just buying a new LED mini maglight.

Easy fit up, much brighter
Easy to fit up, much brighter than original bulb. Not as variable focus as xenon bulb but with the much brighter bright spot and total illumination focus is not an issue.

Big improvement
Easy to install and simple upgrade. Totally worth the purchase if you wish to improve and continue using your Maglite. Hopefully we can expect greater Lumens with a simple swap out in the future.

It extends the life and utility of the mini Maglite, but at a price
I have 3 mini Maglite flashlights acquired more than 30 years ago. They were selected due to their great quality and brightness relative to the competition available back in the day and they are still in excellent shape. The Litt Industries 104 Lumen LED Upgrade Conversion Bulb for Mini 2AA Maglite works well and is very bright and white compared to the standard incandescent bulb. It is easy to install. I did not find the included lens to be useful because it diffuses and attenuates the light too much. However it is quite pricey.Oddly, it appears that I may have purchased the last one - the review link connects to some other Litt Industries product.

Easy to install and very bright.
I needed a replacement bulb for my original 3 lamp bulb .The new single lamp is as bright and appears to be much more robust. It stopped me throwing the Maglite away as it wasn't possible to easily find a replacement lamp for my Mini Maglite in my area.
