Cold Weather Crochet: 21 Cozy Garments, Accessories, and Afghans to Keep You Warm

This is an awesome book. It has very good charts as well as written instructions. This is my first time crocheting ANYTHING, and I am halfway through the hooded scarf. I did look up a few stitches on youtube and also read a couple of explanations of patterns earlier in book to get the gist of the funky crossover cabling stitch...but did get it figured out.

The projects in this book are really good. There is a modern vibe to them. The hats have intricate looking stitches. I made the thrummed slippers. They are very comfortable and pretty. I have been trying to make the cross creek hat. The count and gauge have been frustrating. As has been the wording of the pattern. The diagram they include has been invaluable. However, this hat has been torn down three times now as the count does not match up. I am about to just loosely follow the pattern and do my own thing. I wouldn't recommend for a beginner. But would be a great one to have in your library.

This book is well written with lots of patterns and fairly easy instructions to follow.

I am enjoying this book. Although some of the writing style is a little confusing, once you learn how they pattern writer chooses their words, it is easier to follow. I did find a couple of mistakes, but nothing that wasn't so obvious it would ruin the pattern. Thanks for the hard work and the great photos.

This is a wonderful crochet book. The patterns are written well and the pictures are great. I am an intermediate crocheter and look forward to creating the projects in this book.

Gorgeous patterns, but a bit involved for me. I'm glad I "borrowed" this through Amazon prime. One to go back to when I am a better knitter!
