Emerald Green Arborvitae is a top choice for planting in a row to create privacy screens and windbreaks. It has a narrow, pyramidal habit and glossy, green foliage. This evergreen tree grows about 15 ft. tall with a 3 ft. to 4 ft. spread. Low maintenance and easy to grow, it performs best when planted in full sun to partial shade.

Exactly what I wanted
The trees came bare-root, but I was ready to plant them and start my privacy hedge. All grew except for four, but I will buy some more for the side yard, repacing the four dying ones, in the back yard. Love them, the other 21 trees are doing great, we will see after the winter snow🤔🤗

Ordered 20 of these trees
I was going to order from on online tree place but I saw these on amazon for a fraction of the price and though I would give it a shot. The first order came in perfect shape. The trees were green and healthy. Put them in water and planted them the next day. The second order, the trees were not in as good a shape. Not sure if they spent too much time boxed up in transit. These were a lot more brown. We did the same, put them in water and planted the next day. I've been giving them lots of water and they are starting to look better. I think they will recover. They are starting to turn green again. Will update the review after a few more weeks.

not 10?
I hope I caught my review in time before it was posted, I had dinged a star because I thought I'd only gotten 5 or 6. Well today another box showed up! So without a doubt, this is a 5-star purchase and I am changing my review. I didn't mean to be unfair, I just didn't know it was coming in 2 packages. So here's the good things I'd noted, and I have no complaints what so ever:I'm happy though, they got here, and looked very vigorous, as if they were growing in the box! Roots were still damp too. I've never had arbor vitae before so this is an experiment, if I can just have a couple live and grow I'll be happy. All of mine I'd say were a good 18" too.

Happy with my purchase
The plants I received were pretty healthy but a few I received were very small and didn’t make it through the summer. I had planted late May in Pennsylvania and watered them daily for about a month after that and occasionally still water them. I don’t think they have grown very much - if at all - but I think the majority of them have rooted themselves and expect growth next year. Considering that they were so cheap compared to local greenhouses, I still think it was a good purchase.

100% Died
Much smaller than expected. Most of the trees were less than a foot tall above ground. They've been in the ground for just over a week now and all appear to still be green. They are ground shipped with no dirt or water on their roots. I was concerned they may have dried out too much during shipping. But allowing them to re-hydrate in a bucket of water for several hours seemed to do the trick. -**Update**- 3 months later 100% of these plants have died. They never grew at all and about 2 months after planting started turning brown. They were planted according to the enclosed instructions, and watered regularly. I don't know if these little trees were defective from the beginning or they simply couldn't handle the Texas climate, but they were without a doubt a waste of time and money.

Most are very good
The arborvitae came healthy and much faster than was originally projected. Most are accurate in description, small but about a foot high. However, there were a few (three in an order of thirty) that were ridiculously small (3-4 inches) that look very out of place in the line of trees. So I can't give a five star because I feel they tried to sneak in a couple of clunkers. Will update based on how well they grow and stay alive.

outstanding
I was skeptical buying trees online. These trees arrived very well packaged, no broken plants. The plants looked very healthy and hearty. The root balls are large and healthy as well. I am surprised and pleased. If you are looking for this type of tree, this is the place to buy. I purchased from a large, well advertised tree center and it was horrible. Not only more expensive, but sad little trees.
