Secrets to an Encounter with God

I absolutely loved this book. When it arrived, I was surprised it was smaller than I expected but it was a quick easy read that left me fired up and ready to press in further. Thank you Joshua Giles for being willing to share your experiences with us.

I will definitely go back through it once again, over and over again. Opened my eyes and caused my heart to look for more.

The author, Joshua, taps into the truth of what it means to encounter God and the price of it. What I take most away is that the ability is not idle and we must not be passive in waiting for God, but be the ones to move and reach out and touch Him; show God that we want Him above our own wants and needs, above any fear or trepidation. This, indeed, is the hardest to contend with, and this is without even the real element of fear that can be derived from encountering demons in the spirit realm. Yet, here is where we must trust God fully, and know without a doubt, and with all faith, that He is with us and for us, and, thus, shall demons be the ones to tremble and flee.Indeed, what a powerful read and teaching and a necessary one to get to the truth of encountering God that the one who truly yearns to go higher and deeper in Him, must consider.

A wonderful reminder of the grace and goodness of God, and his desire to want a real relationship with his creation. Very inspiring and re-ignites my desire "press in" to God!

I cannot disagree with anything in this book. I love how Joshua says while most people are waiting for God to touch them, God is waiting for us to press in and touch him. And I agree that these encounters are hard to come by without prayer and fasting. Our flesh will always put up a fight. But my best breakthroughs have always been through Intensely seeking Him during a fast.

First of all thank for making it plain and simple. This book has definitely helped me to change my perspective on praying and going higher and deeper in God. I am searching and looking to be transformed in Him! This is a must have book!!

Speaking from the author’s experiences, gave me much understanding and the willingness to take the various routes to seek the face of God and his presence. Having the knowledge and understanding now makes me want to pursue God more than having to wait for a touch from God. Big difference and I thank Apostle Giles for this book. A must read to gain insights into a consecrated life.

Definitely some great keys to move us deeper into the things of God and pursue Him with every fibre of our being. We need God more than our next breathe...Let's pursue Him without limits!

Author has the same name as a famous prophet. Easy to confuse them.This is a short short read with huge margins and double spaced. I bought it by mistake and I am returning it without having read it.
