Good alternative to the more expensive versions
I have been using the Joan Rivers version of this product for several years and the cost just keeps going up so I was looking for a less expensive alternative. I am medium blonde so I like that this product has 2 colors in it that can be mixed to match. I also found it performs as well as the Joan Rivers brand in that it doesn't come off until you wash it off. I've sweated at the gym and had no issues. I don't see it on my pillow in the morning. The only negatives are that the brush is useless; I am using a Joan Rivers brush that I saved. It's a combination of the firmness of the bristles and the fact that it's short and thick and doesn't allow you to use the other end to part your hair. The powder is also a little loose so I feel like I am wasting some of it. But overall it performs well at a fraction of the cost.

Works great to color scalp to blend with hair.
This product really works great to cover bald spots, particularly if you have blonde to dark blonde hair. It's not going to give you a full head of hair. If your scalp is white, the available lighter and darker colors blend really well on your scalp to provide the illusion of more hair. It’s basically providing a darker background for your hair to blend with. It is a really small package, and most likely will go quickly. But at this price I would buy several at a time. Much better product than Joan Rivers, at a lower cost and more importantly ... available!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU ARE A BLONDE
I received the powder cover up for blonde hair, but it was way too dark. I didn't even have to try it on. I went to return it, still in the original packaging when I saw how dark it was, and this is NOT RETURNABLE. If you do like me and saw the words "RETURNABLE AND REFUNDABLE", you have to click to read the "small print" that says you cannot return it - even unopened. So for me, it was not as advertised. At that point, I thought, ok, I'll give this a try. Nope, way too dark for blonde hair. For better results, go buy some light powder make up at the dollar store.s.

Amazing product
I have my hair colored every five weeks but as the years go by I've been finding that the grey along my partline was becoming prominent after just a couple of weeks. Someone told me there were products that could cover the grey between my trips to the salon. I found this one and it's just amazing. I'm a dark blonde and so I use the darker of the two colors. Just a little covers great and lasts all day (even when I brush my hair). I am very pleased.

It works better than most...the blonde is pretty dark
It works a little better than most products out there, to cover thinning areas (mine is thinning from a drug I have to take, so I have tried a lot of these) It is a little dark (the blonde) And, it does say it is for "covering gray" (as opposed to "filling in"--but it shows someone with thinning hair??) I don't have the gray yet (I am light-haired), but, it does a reasonably good job of masking your scalp shining through at people taller than you (yes, it makes me crazy, never thought I would lose my hair!)

Does very little to cover gray hair
I'm almost halfway through these and am quite disappointed. Aside from being messy, it barely covers my gray hair no matter how much I put on. I was hoping to shift from using those sticky cover crayons that weigh down my hair and make it look horrible and this seemed to be the logical option but it just doesn't work for me.

Decent results and inexpensive
I received my powder a few days ago and have already used it several times. I bought the blonde shade. The lighter color in the compact is for very light blonde hair. The darker seems to be better for blondes with roots. The 1 st time I used it I didn't think it worked very good. The 2nd time I used it I wet the area on my scalp and then dabbed the powder. It worked much better on the wet area.I will use it a few more weeks and if I don't love it, I will by the Joan River's brand that I saw on Amazon. That has very good reviews though it's pricier. Overall,Claudia Steven's hair powder is a good value for the price.

It works!
LOVED this product for covering my grays in between regular colouring! Works amazing, even when I put on a winter hat and take it off. I would repurchase this product again for my light brown/gray roots with blonde highlights.
