Good product, not tried on the stairs yet, light and easy to handle. Suction power good and better than previous Vax, but though it would be stronger

this is my third Vax cleaner and they have all performed really well

doesn't pick up anything despite the good suction on the hose. No matter what height setting it's on as an upright it's awful.

I bought this when my dyson14 animal started to fall apart after 16 years. I needed an immediate replacement to deal with a plague of fleas introduced by our cat!It has amazing suction, so much dust comes up that I was not getting out of the carpet before. Tools are ok if not brilliant. Turbo head is quite good on stair treads. The collecting cylinder is slightly too small for the amount of dust and fluff it gets up. No surviving fleas since using this on the carpets though I did also spray them.Quite easy to take apart to change filters etc.For its price it is outstanding value, even if it does not last 16 years - who knows : it might.
