Best Ever Seasoning Mix
Best seasoning mix ever for stir fry. Just toss in with some chicken or beef and vegetables. Super easy and fast! The red pepper flakes give just a bit of interest. Even my fussy husband who has the taste buds of a two-year old loves it!

Not Simple and Just Ok
I expected this stir fry seasoning mix to be easy to use and taste great and found it not as easy as I would have expected and the taste was not good enough that I would buy it again. I'll probably use the rest of what I have, but will alter it a bit to improve the flavor. You get the idea that you are going to throw this in the pan with some veggies and meat and have a delicious meal. Well there is a little more to it than that and it's not just seasoning, it has cornstarch as a thickener so extra carbs that we do not need. The directions first have you mix the seasoning with a cup of water which I did. There is so much corn starch that after it sits like it's supposed to, it's already too thick in my opinion.it calls for 4 cups of cut up veggies. That's a lot folks! I cut up a bunch of peppers some potatoes and I think onions. In the future I won't use potatoes. This recipe does not really lend itself to any old veggie. I think peppers were fine but next time I'll use bigger onions and maybe add some water chestnuts. It really has an oriental flare. So I've got the veggies cut up and then it has you fry up the meat and then remove the meat...so I need another bowl to put the meat in....and then fry up the veggies. On top of all of the above you have to add a tablespoon of soy sauce. When I added the water and seasoning into the pan (it had been sitting in the water) the dish was too dry. It says to cook it for a minute until it was thickened but it was already way to thick. I do not think I did anything wrong. I definitely added the right amount of water. Maybe if you used frozen veggies that released a lot of water it would be ok, but mine were fresh and there was not extra liquid. So the end result was sort of dry. The potatoes did not work well and it I felt like I should have made rice. We had to add extra soy sauce to make it ok to eat.Next time I'll add more water, and I'll skip the potatos and add water chestnuts or other oriental type veggies. Maybe some bean sprouts or something like that and serve it over rice.Over all this is tolerable but does not really make dinner prep easier and the result was just ok.Thanks for reading my review
