These are super fast & super reliable
These are super fast & super reliable. This is the one HUB that I've found that can keep up with my USB MIDI devices as routed through the Mio10. Its odd, the mid has errors w cheap hubs, likely due to their lagging or something, but this thing can keep up. Ive had no issues w incompatibility or laggy signals w this. Its well built & looks nice too.The main PC side connector isn't great but its the standard USB3micro plug you'll find on any of these kinds of things so no surprises there. Once you get it set up you don't really need to worry about that at all.

Garbo
Thought this was the piece for me. It’s a tank with Achilles’ heel. The USB port broke so easy and it was useless. I will not buy ever again. I bought cheaper hub that’s plastic and it’s lasted me years. This hub lasted two weeks. And I bought two. Don’t waste your money

Poorly made, noisy, no support, fell apart on me.
I really wanted this to be the solution to all my recording studio needs, but sadly like most other USB hubs on the market, this too is a piece of junk. It may look like a pro piece of gear, but it isn't.This is a powered hub, which is great, except that when you do plug it into power, it introduces a noise across all your audio devices.I emailed Elektron about this and never got a response. It's incredibly finicky. If you breath on it the wrong way, your devices will dismount. The slim USB port they use on the back to connect to your computer is not secured. Over time, the weight of the connector itself lifted the port off the PCB rendering the entire hub useless.I really thought I was buying the best here and was finished with these problems, but I'm starting to think that you're better off buying the cheaper hubs and just replacing them every few months.

Get an External Power Supply!!
I was surprised to see all the "meh" reviews as Elektron products are typically at the top of the pile. Well after using my Overhub for a couple of months I can understand the complaints, but it is also by no means a bad product. First, it doesn't come with the same cloth-covered flex USB cables that their products do. Gotta say I don't remember mine coming with *anything* but the pics look like it comes with at least a 3.0 cable to hook you to your computer. Second, in order to get reliability as well as advertised speeds, you really need an external power source (i.e. plug it into the wall as well rather than letting the USB cable handle all the power needs; though I stress it will work with Elektron products that support Overbridge just fine without one) Though if this is your main USB hub, a power brick is a must. And being from Elektron, you should already know this is easier said than done.To be 100% clear, it does NOT come with a wall power adapter, and particularly in the US, the voltage specs it's looking for are whack (5V dc, 4A.) I was able to find one of those multiple adapter/voltage plugs affordably on Amazon, but no joke, the thing is half the size of a 6-outlet power strip. It works fine, hits the speeds advertised, but really unless you're looking for a hub to run Elektron devices only, there are cheaper, less sexy options out there.

Poorly constructed
Works fine until the host USB port fails. It’s soldered onto the circuit board very poorly and has a high failure rate (check the Elektronauts forum.)Mine was held in place with velcro and the usb cables all tied into place, nothing moved on my setup and the micro-b port on the back failed. I opened it up and all the pins had popped off the circuit board.I’d recommend really any other usb hub over this one.

Almost perfect
It's very reliable and sturdy. One issue i have though, is the USB 3 cable that plugs into the back of it comes a little bit loose sometimes. This causes all of my USB devices to be disconnected. Other than that, it's a great piece. I bought a second one.
