I love Gloomhaven and a friend got me my own copy as a thank you gift so I've been looking at different ways to organize the game contents. To keep it simple I'll write my thoughts out as pro/con list.Pros:- Super easy to put together- The wood is solid and as long as you use wood glue these are great holders- I like the lid lifting, it's nice it's a box and that the character description card fits just right between the clear plastic and wood. (NOTE - I saw other people say it runs the cards and I have not had that issue)- Fits all the cards inside that you'll need, I even added my personal mission on the bottom of my stack so it's always with my character and not visible to anyone else.- It's nice that the description card is on top and visible as you can still play as if the box wasn't there but all of your extra cards are easily available.- Divots in the design make it easy to remove cardsCons:- Not a big deal but it doesn't have space and there is no way to fit my character sheet, so keeping that separate is kind of a bummer because it goes to each character as we play and I like having everything together.- Also not a big deal but there isn't a place for the character tokens so those will have to be separate with the sheets tooI believe that's it! I hope it helps.

I just got done not assembling - more like building these boxes. I'm fully satisfied with the result from a structural/carpentry standpoint, though as a carpenter I'm just uncomfortable with fastener-free assembly. But it took me 2 hours to do a nice job of it, and it couldn't have turned out well if not for the full collection of small clamps I had available. Here's why:I received a box of very well laser-cut pieces smartly engineered to sortof dovetail together, made of a thin plywood with a light stain/sealer pre-applied. But plywood is just not always perfectly flat, and the curvature in my case caused the dovetails at all points to not be able to stay together while the glue dried, without clamps. Get yourself a Taklon artist brush for applying glue if you're using wood glue!The clear plastic is not, by this design, replaceable, and is also relatively brittle as I learned when indulging curiosity about whether I could remove it after assembly. But now that the glue is nearly dry and the "assembly" is finished, I'm pleased with the object in my hand.I cannot speak to the fit of the cards, as the game is scheduled to arrive today.

Assembly notes:Relatively easy. The instructions aren't that helpful in the construction department, but are useful for making sure you'll have all the right pieces. First box is 30-60 minutes to put together, the rest will be 15-20 each.Sturdiness notes:Not sturdy at all. Should come as no surprise. Will absolutely suffice to store character kit (cards, tokens, etc), but don't put anything heavy on top of it. Try not to drop it on a hard floor, either. Again, for day to day use and storage, it's great. Absolutely not rugged, however. Expressed in game terms, these boxes have shield 0. If you take my meaning. 😉

I was pretty stoked about these, but they're just ill-constructed, in my opinion. The acrylic glass bows when you slide the character card inside. I used Krazy brand wood glue, and the thing still exploded as soon as I tried to close it (which may or may not be the fault of the manufacturer. Nevertheless, for me these were just a complete waste of time and money, which is unfortunate because I really thought this was going to be a great was to organize our game's play area. Maybe someone else will have better luck, but this was a huge disappointment for me, personally.

Its ok. They look nice not super clear on how to build properly. The top has issuses not fitting the character board (to small for the boards). Fits everything but the mini and the boards

Best want whole set it no more hope will be back

The item was shipped promptly and was relatively simple to put together. Sure it may take you an hour or so to correctly glue 4 of these together but the end result is great and exactly as described.

Great product, but the instructions are quite vague. Tool list, component list, basic images of the product assembled at different stages. The second half of booklet is full of other products the company makes. Not all of which are for Gloomhaven.Luckily I had already watched the promo video here, where they do a good job of showing the product being assembled, and how to store your Gloomhaven character cards.The video also shows how the product can be used during a game. I found this information handy, and was surprised none of it is covered in the instruction manual.
