New boot goofin' 😉👍
I'm big on this military style boot because I like the ankle support, and they're easy to get on and off with the addition of the zipper down the side. As such, I've bought a number of pairs of them over the years. To me its hard to find a better shoe to work in, especially when you're on your feet nearly 16 hours a day, 7 days a week like I am. Theres a reason we issue them to the boys out there fighting for our freedom I figure, right? If they're good enough for the Marines, gotta be good enough for me. And these boots are definitely good enough! I've had them nearly a month now I think, and I've been putting off writing a review to really test them out and see how well they hold up as advertised. And for a boot thats cheaper than most name brand tennis shoes, these things are absolutely awesome. My last pair were made by Reebok, cost about $100 dollars more, and lasted me the same as most boots have (roughly a year). The biggest difference between the Reebok boot and this boot, is that this boot is not steel toe. But the Reeboks weren't waterproof, and man am I impressed with the water proofing on this boot... Especially considering these are cheaper than a new pair of Nike tennis shoes. I specifically waited for a large rain storm to roll in before reviewing these so I could test the water proofing. I've added a picture above. Stood out in the rain in a substantial puddle for maybe two minutes to see if water was going to seep in just for this review! lol. My feet are still dry as a bone! So they definitely function as advertised! They look great, although I'm not huge on the faux leather deal at the top of the ankle. But beyond that they look almost identical to the reeboks, and the ankle portion is usually covered by my tactical pants anyway, so whatever. They also fit soooo much better than the Reeboks did when I bought them, and without added insoles at that! The Reebok insoles wore out on me in maybe 3 months, it was ridiculously quick. Like I said, I'm in them and working vastly more than I'm not, so buying insoles has become relatively common for me. Plus, I'm slightly flat footed, so they help keep my arches from constantly falling as well. But so far I've neither felt the need to buy insoles, nor had any adverse effects from using the included insole. My arches havent fallen, and my feet feel great. My foot is on the narrow side though, and it seems to me these boots are too. Which is good for me, they fit perfectly and that helps with comfort. But if you have a wide foot maybe consider going up half a size and see how that works for you. Amazon's return policy is good enough that if they don't fit, its no big deal. Drop them back off at a UPS store and order a new pair when you get refunded the next day, yah know? No harm no foul. To me, these things felt great from the moment I put them on though. There wasn't much need to break them in like other military boots I've bought. Usually you're in for a rough week the first week after you buy a pair. They never seem to have the "give" you need them to when you first buy them, but that wasn't a problem with these boots at all. I was pleasantly surprised to find them significantly more comfortable than my last couple pairs of boots from the jump. I was actually on Amazon about to purchase another pair of the Reeboks when I found these and man am I glad I saved the extra $100 bucks. You simply can not beat the value on these boots. They fit true to size, have great support, they're comfortable, and they have great water proofing capabilities. I'll definitely be back in another year or so to repurchase these bad boys.

Very impressed ,
The last boots of this style I bought was local and considerablly higher priced and not as well made. I really like the light weight and athletic shoe feel to the fit. My primairy purpose for the boot is hikingso the high top for ankle support and keeping things out of my shoe is good and the backing material behind the zipper is a good feaature I think. I will say that having never bought a zippered boot before it took me some time to figure out hoe to adjust the fit as intiall they wereto tight around my calves the addition of a pull tab would be a suggestion. Once I figured out how to adjust I find these boots to be very comfortable and the pricing is excellent

Great so far.
Update: I purchased size 10.5 wide in 2024. I wear them daily to work and on my days off as well. Not a big sore options kinda guy lol. They are still holding up great. I would've gone thru at least 2 pairs or Bates by now... The boots are discolored, dirty looking but construction wise are like new. The soles show some wear but have a lot of life left. The zipper is still going strong and the laces haven't given up either. I do recommend buying a good insole. Maybe it's just me but if I spend the day on asphalt/ concrete the get are killing me by the end of the day. That's my only complaint and to prove it i just ordered another pair for backup! I wear a 10.5 wide in most shoes/boots. These fit good but are a Lil narrower than the Bates I'm used to. I think they'll be fine once worn a few days. My son wears size 11 regular width and fit him great. They are comfortable and look nice. I hope the construction holds up better than the last pair of bates i purchased. Will update review after some time but my first impressions are good.

Highly comfortable for daily motorcycle commuting, with one minor side-zipper tweak
I ordered these boots in Brown, size 10, to use as over-the-ankle protection for riding my motorcycle on my daily work commutes and weekend rides. I’ve worn military-style boots for about 90% of my adult life, so I have a lot of experience with this style of footwear, and I have to say these are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. So far, they are holding up very well to almost daily riding and regular shifts on the bike. The stock interior padding is pretty decent, and down the road when the time comes, it will be easy enough to swap in some Dr. Scholl's insoles to keep them going. My only complaint about these boots was the interior fabric gusset behind the side zipper. I know that extra material is engineered there to help seal the boot against water intrusion, but since I only use these for riding on pavement and have no plans to wade through standing water, it just got in the way. It made sliding the boots on and off tighter than I wanted, so I simply took a pair of shears and carefully cut that inner fabric lining out. Removing it made the side-zipper function much smoother and made the boots vastly easier to slip on and off before and after a ride. Aside from that one design quirk, these are great boots. If you are looking for an affordable, highly comfortable tactical boot that provides solid ankle coverage for daily motorcycling, these are absolutely worth considering. So, would I buy these again? At the moment, 100%.

Must buy! These boots are great!
These are excellent boots! They are lightweight and comfortable! The size was perfect for my feet. They are very durable and versatile with any outfit. They dry quickly and have a great arch support!

Hell yeah... quality at an affordable price
I work EMS, these boots are comfortable, smooth, tuff, and definitely worth the price. I'm now getting another pair in brown for wildlife reasons. I got wide feet and these fit with no pressure. My sneakers are 11.5 wide, boot i get a 12w or 12.5w... gotta leave room for thick socks in the winter..js

“Comfortable but Not Durable”
These boots are alright. I work 12+ hours a day and walk a lot. I got these in February, and I take good care of my boots, but the leather on one of them is already ripping badly. It’s to the point where I’ll have to replace them soon. For the price, it’s fine, but I really wish they would’ve lasted at least a year. (I’ll post pictures soon.) On the positive side, they’re comfortable, easy to put on, the soles are nice and still holding up great, and they’re warm and great to walk in. The size was perfect and overall they were pretty versatile. Durability-wise, though, they fall short.

Excellent, comfortable, light weight, affordable
I bought these for work, I'm on my feet and walking all day for long shifts and these boots are so comfortable and light weight eith good ankle support. I dread trying new boots because of the breaking in period but with these boots no breaking in needed they have been perfect from day one. The only negative I can think of is that you have to wear socks that go higher than the boot top because I've found it is a bit rough and rubs on my skin particularly where the zip it but over all these boots are fantastic and great value for money
