A Better Value Than SmittyBilt Shackles
I purchased some of the Smittybilt 13047B 3/4" Black D-Rings along with this TGL brand. I wanted to see if there was a significant quality difference between the two that warranted the steeper price of the Smittybilt shackles ($18 for two TGL shackles versus $26 for two Smittybilt shackles in Mar 2016).Pros:- In size and shape, right down to the hole size and shape of the pin head--the TGL brand appears to be a copy of the Smittybilt shackle. The Smittybilt shackle has the word "Smittybilt" in raised letters, but that's about it. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they're both manufactured by the same company.- Pin threads are clean and easy to screw in.- Load limit is indicated in raised letters/numbers.- Thread pitch and pin size are the same so parts are interchangeable between the two brands.Cons:- The black paint is a little thinner on the TGL brand. I originally thought paint thickness was a purchasing factor, which is why I started by purchasing the Smittybilt shackles (which have thicker paint). However, after normal handling of both shackles, the paint doesn't hold up worth a darn. A little bit knocking or scratching against hard surfaces (concrete, metal, etc.) easily scrapes away the paint. You can see some of it in the included pictures, and that's just from knocking shackles together, attaching to a receiver, etc. Both brands are made in China.Going forward, I'll purchase these rather than the Smittybilt brand. (Note: In the attached pictures, the TGL shackle is on the left.)

Good Solid Rigging D-Rings
These are awesome. I didn't buy them for a jeep, but for rigging. I was surprised with how hard it is to find rigging supplies, even at the farm supply stores. I always used the stuff my father had accumulated over the years, so I took it for granted. Now that I've finally got my own shop I'm piecing all of that stuff together for myself. I'm glad for the off-road community because these were exactly what I was looking for to accompany my tractor loader and the gantry crane I just built. These will withstand several times the weight I'll be able to throw on them, which is a nice cheap insurance policy, and they've worked great so far. They're nicely made and the threads are clean so the pin goes in and out easily by hand. Pretty simple so not much else to say. Oh yeah, paint is surprisingly durable too.

The shackle fits nicely into a receiver arm with out a ball
Solid and have no doubt they'll do the job. Got them along with a recovery strap for my truck. Haven't needed to use either so far. The shackle fits nicely into a receiver arm with out a ball.

Heavy duty, just keep inside
Very substantial. Bought second set because on a trip to Moab we lost 2 from jeeping. We've been told they are hot items to steal off jeeps and advised to keep inside and only use when needed. Stinks that people can be so awful. So, now we have our 2nd set which again are very substantial but we keep inside jeep. They are heavy duty and no doubt will do the job if needed.

Heavy Duty. Recommended
Heavy duty and made to last. I use it to hook to my come-a-long, then to a strap around a tree, to remove the tree. The only two issues I saw was the paint came off on first use (which the seller mentions it's also coated, so not the reason I deducted a star). The reason I deducted a star is because the bolt (for lack of better word) that screws in, is tough to get in at times and get started.

Best Value vs Smittybilt.
I have 2 Smittybilts and decided to roll the dice and get this 2 pack at almost half the price. In comparison the pins are identical in both size and weight, and are interchangeable. The Smittybilt are just over 2 ounces heavier, but hardly worth the additional cost.

Much better cosmetically. Probably same functionality
My jeep is tank green and black. I have slowly been working on getting every other color off of the jeep, (for example, I have black background LED headlights, the rear lights have covers, the front fender lights have been changed to smoked LED's) I purchased a new front and rear bumper to replace the incredibly fragile stock bumpers. The replacement bumpers came with D-rings, which is great both cosmetically and functionally, but they were silver in color which I did not find visually appealing at all. I tried initially to spray paint the silver ones, but was dissatisfied with the results. So, instead I decided to purchase black D-rings for that purpose. I had to buy two sets as both the front and the rear had a pair of shackles. These came well packaged and un-damaged. They look exactly like in the picture. The threads all work well and they securely attach to the Jeep. I feel quite comfortable knowing that I have these on my vehicle in case I need to pull myself or others out. They rattle a little bit on the bumper, but I purchased the rubber isolators which help a lot. I would not hesitate to purchase this again in the future.

Heavy Duty, Good Lookin
These are heavy duty d-rings that look good, fit perfectly on my wrangler. They came well packaged and quickly thanks to prime. Very well priced, will definitely buy more of these for the front of the vehicle.
