Wonderful Keyoard!
This keyboard has a wonderful feel to it! Hard to believe it's for a mobile device. It holds the Tab securely in place, doesn't tip over and you can use it just about anywhere, on a desktop, in your lap, anywhere! It's not so big that I can't put it in my computer bag and carry it wth me! Just wish that it included a USB port or two, cause when you are using it, you can't plug anything else in. Their is no pairing or charging. Drop your tab in to it and you are ready to go! It gets it's power from the Galaxy Tab. Oh, it might cut down your battery usage time, but not so much to make much of a real difference. Easiest accessory of it's type that I''ve seen! It is a real pleasure to use! Although it is made mainly of plastic, it is quite sturdy. It's not exceptionally light, but that helps rather than hinders. It's not overly heavy either. I like it's overall weight and sturdiness. If you get one and aren't delighted with it then I am some kind of a fool, and I have tried several of these for different machines, and this is one of the best!

Fantastic - 5 stars!
Have had this almost 2 weeks now after incredibly fast shipping to Australia! Was really sweating about whether it would be compatible with my 4 year old Samsung Tab 2 GT-P5100, or even fit. The front of the package just showed Tab 10.1, but a small sticker on the back stated "for Galaxy Tab 2". It did fit and is working perfectly! The keyboard is Canadian French - no problem there as its full QWERTY (box showed dock was sourced from Samsung Canada). In simple terms, it is absolutely fantastic - has made a major positive difference when using my tablet! PROS: charging is less awkward when in use, dedicated keys for Home, Return, Google and Internet. CONS: no dedicated keys for power on/off or Print Screen (screen snap), too many duplicate keys with some keys unlikely to be ever used much (e.g. brightness, Screen Off). The Mail key does not work with GMail. The white dock with a black tablet is weird (Apple envy?). The big bonus is being able to use external speakers - decent volume at last. Despite some of the minor negatives, I have to give this dock 5 stars - I feel like I have a new tablet!

Does not work with android v4
I own a Galaxy TAB 10.1 model GT P7510, with an ECR-K14AWEGXAR keyboard I bought from amazon about six months ago. (slightly different model?)At first, I had to install third party software ("Dock Keyboard Switcher" app) to avoid the on screen keyboard pop-up when the Tab is in the dock, something that I would have expected that the Samsung Tablet with the Samsung Keyboard would solve for themselves. However, it worked quite fine, nice keyboard, etc.But over a month ago I upgraded to Android 4.0.4 (as sugested by the Tab software update) and the Tab freezes each time I put it in the dock. I had to detach the Tab, and turn it off and on to use it again.I tried with another app "TFDocker" and it freezes after working some time in the dock, and then when detached may recover without turning off/on. Same behaviour with the app turned off. Better, but still makes the keyboard useless.I am trying to get advice from samsung technical support, both international and local, explained the problem to everyone, but got no solution so far.Too many problems. My recomendation is not to buy this, or at least make sure under with conditions, configuration or sofwtare versions it runs.

Great basic keyboard
I have had this keyboard for over a year now and it works great. You can use it while it is plugged in and without the cord. It uses alitle more power without the cord. I don't sugest playing any power consuming games while using it. You will drain, and possibly ruin the battery. All of the keys still work fine and it is still a bright white color. The keys are easy to hit and making typing much faster. Besides the power consumption, which is minor, there is only two problems I have with it. The screen does not tilt. It makes the tablet stand up at a good angel for typing when it is on a table. I wish I could tilt it back so that I could lounge on the couch with it easier. The other problem is that it removes the bar that usually sits ubove the onscreen keyboard with the sugested words. That makes checking for spelling errors hard. I'm using it right now, so if you see alot of misspellings that is why.Overall it is a comfortable little keyboard. It works much better than a generic bluetooth keyboard. It fits my specific device and looks good with it. I have a samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1. It will not work with mst other tablets. The connection is quite snug. I can hold it upsidedown and my tablet still stays connected (although I woild not sugest trying it). It is hard to find chargers or adapters for my tablet. Thay do not make them any more and I ususlly have to buy chargers and adapters online. The ipod charger looks the same but it is a hare too big. Don't even try it.Oh and I also like how it will stay standing anywhere. Kickstands on tablets are a joke. they only stand up on flat surfaces.Good luck shopping!
