BIG calendar, perfect for little learners
Ok I really like this calendar/weather chart. The year goes up to 2015 (I was worried they didn't go up high enough but thats fine) and even the older years you can still flip over the other side and use a sharpie and write on them. The pockets are the only slight disappointment. The gold pockets on the bottom can hold a few smaller things, but definitely not the days of the week or seasons...they are NOT deep enough, the velcro will not close if you put more than 2 in a pocket at a time. it will bulge and my 2 yr old likes to rip them all out. So I have them in a baggie for safe keeping. There are lots of different holidays on there, Christmas, Kawanza, Passover, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Valentines Day, St. Patricks Day...and lots more. There are also plenty of other ones like for Birthdays, Presents, Balloons, Field Trips, No School, 1st Day of School, Last day of School, 100th Day of school, etc. Its cute, they have a few that are just Teeth, maybe for those children who lose their teeth. Its a very sturdy vinyl calendar thats pretty large in size. My only modifications to this other than making the gold pockets in the front deeper would be that Today's Weather whcih is just a plastic pocket be a little smaller. Overall this is great. I recommend it.

Great Calendar
I bought this for my kids to use at home. I love that the cards are sturdy and thick to withstand small hands. There are many pictures to choose from to mark special days and quite a few blank cards to use. The numbers can be black or red which will be awesome for practicing patterns. There are way more cards than can fit in the storage pockets. We keep the days of the week and weather cards in there since we change those daily. My kids like adding the date and weather each day. I was an elementary teacher prior to staying home with my children and the pockets on the chart look nice and sturdy and I think we'll have this calendar for many years! The only things I didn't like is we don't have a pocket for the year card. I didn't realize until we had taken everything apart already, or I would have looked into exchanging it. It looks like there is supposed to be a pocket there from the pictures. Everything else is excellent.

Great Calendar for Pre-K!
This will be my second year using this calendar for Pre-K, and I love it! Itโs great quality, has lots of pieces, and is very versatile! I like to print off different patterned numbers for the different seasons and most of the ones you find on teachers pay teachers fit in the calendar!

Perfect!
I waited almost a year to purchase this item. I really wanted a pocket chart calendar for my son, but I didn't know which one. I basically looked at every one available and decided on this one. I am 100% happy with my purchase! -The cards are very durable, I was worried about them being flimsy card-stock and having to laminate them, but that is not the case at all. They are thick and very well made. -The pocket chart itself is also made very well. I am not worried at all about getting tears or having the plastic pockets unravel. -There are tons of card options for weather, holidays, appointments, birthdays, field trips, etc. -There are also a few blank cards that you can use to "create your own." I thought that was a great option to have. The only downside I see is that it comes with so many cards that the storage pockets can barely hold them all. Honestly though, I don't mind at all. I just put the far-away months and holidays in a ziploc bag and placed in a spot where I wont lose them, That way, the rest fits comfortably in the storage pouches and I'm not sorting through a bunch of cards I know I wont use for months to find the ones I'm looking for. I give two big thumbs up for this pocket chart, which also came at a great price! I'll definitely be looking to "Learning Resources" for other items in the future.

Just what we needed
This seems to have pretty much everything we needed to learn / teach about the calendar, months of the year, days of the week, yesterday, today, tomorrow, weather... it's got a lot. I like the fact it has blank cards so we can add special days of our own like grandparents day, friendship day, arbor day. We don't actually celebrate these but who knows, maybe we will at some point. :) I like that the numbers for days are double-sided with red and black. I put the days that have already passed on black and the current day as well as those coming up in red so they can get a better visual. Some things I found were that since there are a lot (!) of cards to be stored when they're not in use the pockets at the bottom aren't really big enough to hold everything inside. My solution was to turn most of the longer cards on their sides and just left them vertical. No biggie for me but that might bother someone who has to have everything out of sight if it's not being utilized. Another thing I did was to separate the school cards (100th day, 1st day, "no school" days,) the holidays, & the cards for other things like birthdays (cakes or balloons & hats) and flags for federal holidays. I put them into 3 separate sandwich bags so they wouldn't get mixed up together and then just put them in the yellow bags at the bottom of the calendar. One thing I noticed was I had to throw out several year cards. I got rid of 2006, 2007, 2008, & 2009 with one swift toss into the recycling bin. Time sure flies sometimes. Maybe it would have been better to have 4 slots available to insert for the year instead of just one card, but I wasn't on the team for product development. There are still 4 or 5 years left to go before they run out too. But honestly my only real gripe about this product is that it doesn't include any hardware to hang it up. I managed with screws through the holes at the top though. The material seems very durable and should stand up to my 4 quite well. Overall this is a great investment (and fun too.) **update 6/18/2012** We are still using this even though the kids are a bit older. With our youngest not yet in school, she's still exposed to the concept of days, weeks... when we update this. We use it to help the older ones with times tables: If you have x amount of weeks which are 7 days each, how many days is that? It's not an everyday thing anymore but the kids still enjoy it and who could ask for more than that?

Awesome homeschooling item
Love this calendar. Makes it fun for our little girl to learn days, month, years, season etc. The little cards it comes with to identify holidays, appointments, and birthdays are fantastic- fun and helpful for remembering. Only two negatives, the identifier cards do cover the entire # for day of the month which can make it challenging when going over "days" as well as for those who are visual learners, also would have liked the past, present, future day slots to be ordered "present day, yesterday, tomorrow", for some reason the other way/order (yesterday, today, tomorrow) seems to be confusing. It has held together real well especially considering how many things our daughter tries to fit in the pockets. It is large, not ideal for small wall space.

Great quality
I grabbed this calendar for my kindergartner to help them with days of the week and I am impressed! The insert cards are thick cardboard, the calendar itself is quite large! My kid said it was just like the one he has in his classroom. Itโs a part of our morning routine now. It works great! These days it can be a toss up buying something online if the quality is good and I would recommend this product
