Calais, Maine, Families: They Came and They Went
W**T
scant, often inaccurate information
The book is filled with "probably," possibly," and "perhaps." It is quite surprising that this author was able to find a publisher. I am afraid I've wasted my money on this particular book. I have been researching my paternal ancestors in Calais, Maine and St. David's New Brunswick for 37 years, this book does not begin to scratch the surface. The author claims to have researched the families in this area for eight years. Much more time and attention is needed to produce a valuable resource.

This book is an excellent consolidation of information
This book is an excellent consolidation of information. We use it for research on a regular basis and it is very valuable to the local historical society either as a stand-alone document or a basis for further research. -Al Churchill, President, St. Croix Historical Society
