As Barry Champlain, Eric nailed this part! In my youth, I also had a bug up my butt to be a talk radio host, ranting and raving over too many not-fully-evolved sea monkeys gummin' up the works on this spinning cosmic rock.

Sting and Andy Summers, after The Police breakout were releasing album after album to great acclaim, Stewart decided to do film scores. While it was what he always wanted, the result is not so good for the listener. Film soundtracks rarely receive the same level of attention that regular records do. That (and untraditional approach to music) stop Stewart's film scores from being well-known. Also, limited number of CD's were released, so, if you (by some chance) like Copeland's music, you'll have hard time finding it.Talk Radio/Wall Street OST is a real gem. All of the compositions were written and performed by the ex-Policeman. The number of tracks is 11, and they are quite lengthy - also good. And the price is MUCH LESS than 50 something dollars :PSo, if you are a fan of Stewart's eccentric musical style (like I am), buy this CD right now!!!

Great suspenseful filmmaking.

This movie is so great. It creates a realistic view of the day to day life of a radio host personality.

Saw this a long time ago, excellent movie!

I spent 11 years in radio. To me, this film is not fiction. In fact it's based on a real event. Co-author of the play from which the movie was made, and principal performer Eric Bogosian, has the narcissism of his character, talk radio host Barry Champlain, down pat.

First of I love talk radio always have. I saw this on tv many years ago and thought it was great. After purchasing it a few weeks ago! It just didn’t seem as good as I remembered (smh) perhaps I was younger then I’m not sure. All in all it’s still not a bad movies as good as anything on tv these days.

Il migliore di Stone. Spacca! Mitico il monologo finale di Barry. Film tratto da storia vera. Fa riflettere, ma come dice Barry, se almeno uno di voi capisse quello che sto dicendo. Attori al top. Baldwin al top. Audio e video ottimi. Un mito

Die DVD Hülle verströmt einen Duft, der angenehm durch einen Patchouli Grundton und einen Klingonen Oberton die Atmosphere des Zimmers aufwertet indem es Opas Kriegswollsocken auf der Heizung dominiert.Die DVD ist erstaunlich rund, sicher das Werk eines talentierten Zimmermanns.Das Cover besticht durch eine stoische Profilaufnahme eines Mannes mit Nasennebenhöhlenproblemen des Starfotografen Warner.Zum Inhalt des Films sei gesagt: Alan Baldwin's Haar war hier auf seinem Höhepunkt.

Oliver Stone venait de terminer "Wall Street" et attendait que Tom Cruise se libère sur un autre tournage pour pouvoir attaquer "Né un 4 juillet". Deux semaines de libre et il y avait cette pièce, montée et jouée par Eric Bogosian, qui lui trottait dans la tête pour une adaptation cinéma. Ni une, ni deux, ils tournent le film. Ca ira vite: huis clos dans une radio, l'acteur le joue déjà au théatre. On comprend l'intérêt d'Oliver Stone pour le truc: ça dézingue l'Amérique dans tous les sens, critique brutale et désolée d'une société pourrie et gâtée, sans repère, consommation à outrance et hypocrisie guindée. Le personnage principal est lui-même super ambigü, bourré de défauts, profitant du système qu'il vomit en direct en envoyant bouler les auditeurs, qui le rappellent de plus belle ensuite. Il se rend égalemment compte que son message ne passe pas, bien au contraire, il n'est qu'un show de plus, point barre. Est-ce la rapidité avec laquelle s'est monté le projet? Toujours est-il que c'est le meilleur film d'Oliver Stone, d'habitude très lourdaud et pas trop finaud. Ici, le huis clos est étouffant, acerbe et violent. Tendu. De par sa réalisation, rythmée et intense. Le film démarre, vous prend et ne vous lache plus, la prestation d'Eric Bogosian (rien à voir heureusement avec l'ancien joueur de foot, le film aurait été beaucoup moins bon pour le coup) n'y étant pas pour rien non plus. A l'époque le film faisait mal. C'est malheureusement toujours le cas aujourd'hui, preuve que les choses n'ont guère évolué. Excellent film.
