Approaches Trauma Correctly
Well written book that gives kids a connection to the Holocaust in a way that doesn't overwhelm.

Wonderful addition to any library!
I bough this book for myself and ended up giving it to a teacher I work with for the Holocaust unit in the classroom. It is a terrific addition. It is of great quality. The graphic novel layout allows readers of all levels to understand. This is a great addition to any teachers classroom.

Heartbreaking
I need to build a social studies unit for ww2 and the Holocaust because our ss teacher left. This book is a perfect way to explain and engage students in the heavy topic in an appropriate way.

Great book
A graphic novel that not only teaches us about the horrible history, but the heroic, survival of Jewish children. The graphic and illustrations are wonderful.

I thought this graphic novel gave the sense of living during the Holocaust, and the long-term effects of the experience.

Important subject, but dark art style for sensitive kids
I found this to to too dark of an art style for my children who can read more mature subjects but are sensitive to imagery.I was disappointed since it’s an Important topic that I love to read to them, but the art style made it too scary for them and kept them from getting into the story or being able to relate to the characters. One quick flip through and it was rejected.

Great for KS2
There are some you tube ‘cartoons’ of these stories. My class were very respectful and interested so I bought the book to enable them to find out more

Destined to be a classic
This arrived for me to review a few days ago and I only just got around to reading it now. However, my ten year old son picked it up yesterday afternoon and started reading it. He was absolutely engrossed. He said: 'Mum, it's good...well, not good, but...powerful.' We read it together today and I answered his questions and we discussed the stories in the book and thought about what we would do in those situations. The graphics are amazing, the stories are beautifully told and the book is of the highest quality. Great reading list, time line, synopsis and wonderful photos of the real life people the stories are about. It is destined to be a classic and deservedly so.

Must read stories of human courage.
I love this book. It's such an important book. It tells such moving stories that it had me in tears. Every school and every child should have access to these stories so that they can remember the Holocaust and ensure it never happens again. The stories are really moving. They are told with the simplest of pictures, and simple block capital letters but such heart breaking stories of human courage.
