I like to take a chance on phones that aren't from the big brands and this time it has paid off brilliantly. This is an astounding phone for the price. The performance is what I would have expected from a phone costing twice as much - it's quick and smooth to use and comes with Android 10, with very few pre-installed apps that you can't get rid of. The camera is fast and takes great photos (examples here) in all but the lowest light levels. The battery lasts ages - I've been playing with it all day and it's still on about 70%.The screen is LCD rather than OLED, but is nice looking and bright enough to be used outdoors.Negatives? There are very few and they are minor: the flash/torch is a bit weak and the face recognition can be fooled with a selfie on another phone. "Night mode" doesn't actually improve anything and the wide angle pictures can be grainy.I was surprised at how good this phone was for the money, and am very happy with it.Update: 6 weeks on and I still love this phone. There have been 2 system updates, which is good, and unusual for a Chinese budget phone. While you wouldn't want to use the camera for your wedding photos, it's absolutely fine for everyday use. The battery life often extends to 3 days between charges if it's not used much and it charges quickly. Bluetooth works far better than on any other phone I've had and I can get 4G signals where some other phones can't. NFC is brilliant because I can use Google Pay, but I turned the face recognition off when I started using it because it still unlocked when I was wearing a mask. It seems quite lax about who is looking at it and you only need to unlock it to make contactless payments of any amount.

This is a layman’s review, I’m not an expert so industry reviews should sought before purchase.Had this phone for a few weeks now, was due an upgrade on my contract but nothing in my price range appealed to me, having searched numerous Chinese midrange phones online and I’ve had many before and can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed, came across this model, read both user and industry reviews and based on them took a chance. If as good as stated it would be a bargain, if not cheap enough to almost throw away, not really but if selling on you are not going to loose to much, also cheap enough to use until maybe a better deal on a contract upgrade came along. As usual with prime, delivered next day even Covid-19 was near its peak, first impressions where very pleasing, this is a very stylish phone which comes with both a factory fitted Tempered glass screen protector already installed and a clear silicon case included, have been impressed with all aspects of use so far, clear and loud in phone use, screen vibrant and clear, have only used screen refresh rate in Auto, and everything I use it for has been smooth and seamless, apps open instantly and have not noticed any lag at all, don’t play games so can’t comment on that aspect, only taken a few photos mainly just to try it out, and not being an aficionado I am more than impressed with the results even indoors at night, not used extensively, but I am sure they would not be up to standards of more expensive models but I’m more than satisfied, only one speaker so no stereo, but I find it on par with most mid range phones, both loud and clear enough to listen to music/YouTube outdoors, at best adequate. The clincher for me was the side fingerprint reader which I wanted to try, and I find it very quick and accurate, and have been impressed with it so far, whether it will catch on with more mainstream manufacturers is doubtful tho, already has a couple of system updates, which for a cheap Chinese phone I find an exception rather than a rule, a future operating system update is probably unlikely tho, have found very little to be negative about this phone, only minor gripes are although the screen is legible in sunlight, it is not the brightest and not recommended for constant outdoor summer use, also no notification light. In summary for the money this is a fantastic phone with many higher end features in a midrange model, and I don’t think many will be dissatisfied with both the performance or the features included for very little money, I would recommend grabbing a bargain before this company goes the same way as one+ and other once cheapo’s whose prices are now nearer The premium end Than the bargains they once were.UpdateIf you want to increase screen brightness for outdoor use, in Battery settings either do not turn on Power saving options, or if already on disable them, you will find brightness levels increase significantly, enabling a much more pleasant experience.

A couple of important issues initially with this phone. 1, setting up the fingerprint recognition is tedious, requiring lots of attempts. But it does work ok most of the time once set up.2, the auto adjustment of the screen brightness was very temperamental, slow to react, screen flickering, a real pain. But, once I turned off the Intelligent Power Save feature in the battery settings, the auto brightness worked perfectly.The phone is now a real pleasure to use. The camera performs well with nice sharp images under most lighting conditions. The panorama feature is a little flaky producing slightly blurred images.It is fast and responsive, switching between apps with no hesitation or stuttering sometimes seen on other budget phones.Battery life was disappointing initially but has improved as the phone adapted to my usage. A full charge lasts me all day, with social media, email and web browsing, often with over 40% left.The WiFi and Bluetooth network connections are both quick and reliable.I am entirely happy with my Realme 6 and am happy to recommend it.

Purchased as it was supposed to have good battery life.I'm not a heavy user, and used to charge my last two phones once a week, whether they needed it or not, but this is only giving me 4 to 5 days. Much better than some, but not what I was expecting.Everything else about the device is fine.
