I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered these, I had read they were someone’s favorite so I wanted to try them. I think they are a more delicious moon pie.

This review is late but, still valid. I grew up on these as special treats from when my best friends mom would bring them back from Argentina. When I found them on Amazon I doubted they would be as good, I was wrong. The first bite transported me back to being a kid. They are a bit expensive but if your treating yourself they are worth the extra cost, especially if they are not easy for you to get a hold of.

My package got lost on the mail but they nicely replaced it. I love alfajores and even though I'm Ecuadorian ( Havana are Argentinian) it's like having a little piece of home ( currently living in the US). Love alfajores and dulce de leche is the best treat ever. They were fresh and soooooo good!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Mmmm. If you have ever tasted milk caramel (dulce de leche) and you like it, you will love these. Dulce de leche is primarily sweetened-condensed milk, cooked slowly until it becomes a dense spread of medium-brown, milk-chocolate color and intoxicating sweet flavor. These have been made in the same tradition since I was a kid (long time ago). They are still awesome. Unique to the Atlantic beach areas south of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Many imitations, but this is THE ONE.

I grew up eating alfajores Havanna. They were an essential part of my upbringing in Argentina. After hanging on the beach all day long in the summer time, my mother would take us to the Havanna bakery in Mar del Plata where you could buy them just fresh out of the oven! They are as delicious today as they were back then and I am very glad I can find them through Amazon. If you cannot go to Mar del Plata and get them in person; then, do the best next thing...order them through The Pampero. Delicious alfajores and excellent service!

Introduced to these by a friend visiting from Buenos Aires. They are pricey as US sweets go but I know of nothing else like them. Find myself giving them as presents for holidays when sweets are in order. (More for the milk chocolate lovers rather the 60% dark chocolate types tho on account of the "dulce de leche.")
