Great value!
JG Aruora replacement extruder. Easy to install and works great, way better than original.

You know...it's like...meh?
Don't let the headline fool you; this is a relatively high quality part, and certainly a good replacement if you're going for a full direct drive configuration. In my case, I was not. I got this more as a novelty to replace my stock extruder with no intensions of using the device as it was clearly intended. That being said, I'm not sure it was a worthwhile purchase for me personally. It is well made, and does function as intended, and it works more than adequately for what I'm using it for(basically just an extruder feed upgrade). In addition, should I decide to go the direct drive route in the future, then I already have the main part I would want for that so it's future proof in that regard as well. All in all I'm happy with the purchase. My only complaint might be that it could be a little easier to get your tube fed through the "top" side. I get that it's really meant to feed the filament directly through there, but I would have liked the option to insert a small tube in there to reduce wear from the filament rubbing against the edges. But that's a minor complaint and would not have prevented me from the purchase if I knew that in advance. 4/5.

Runs tpu with problem.
This is my second one and I have had zero problems with the first. It runs tpu beautifully. I can run tpu at 45 print speed with an .8 nozzle. Slower with smaller nozzles of course but i have had no clogging with either nozzle. I 100% recommend

Completely worthless.
I ordered this sometime ago and just got around to trying to install it. Got it all put together and then came the time to put the thumb screw in. I didn't actually get a thumb screw I got a plastic piece without threading. So I can't use this at all and I've already passed the return window. Move on to something else.

Its a decent extruder for a BMG Style.
Don't be fooled, it's not in the same category as a real BMG. It does work pretty well over all. So does it work, yes. Is it the best, no.Things i'm not fond of,1. The filament path is not as tightly constrained as others I used on the market, I doubt it would be great with flexible filaments like TPU/TPE.2. The bolt holes were slightly too tight, in general the injection molded parts were a bit tight. In general the injection molded parts were a bit tight on fit. However I'd rather have the extruder be tight than have wiggle in the gears.

No shortage of torque
Careful. It might pull the spool through the extruder if it gets tangled 😂 the 3:1 gearing is pretty serious. I thought if it gets clogged that the plastic gear might break but the filament so far has been softer and yielded.

SIMAX3D Dual Drive Bowden BMG Extruder Are Great! If You Don't Have One - You Need To Order
This SIMAX3D Dual Drive Bowden BMG Extruder is like a number of dual gear extruders on the market. You can always tell an exact clone by the gear lever shown in the attached photo. The slot where the tension spring and screw goes in is not centered. It is off to one side. As long as you know this, it isn't much of an issue. You have to work a little harder to install the screw. I normally file the slot to allow a straight on insert to the screw without any dragging on the lever. This extruder works amazing well. Even with supper soft TPU filament. You have to make changes to your printer's configuration. The stepper rotation needs to be reversed and for me, on my Tevo Little Monster, the Steps per millimeter had to be increased to 417. Running an e-step calibration for the extruder is a must. Once set, you might never need to change it again. All in all this is a great product I give 5 star.

Reminded me that it's a clone.
I haven't had a chance to actually use this until recently since this has been a project printer. I was able to get a handful of prints done out of PLA before the whole top end cracked. The insides of these are reduced of their material making them weaker. This is what you get for a clone though.
