Acure The Essentials Marula for Dry Skin & Hair Oil, 1 Fl Oz

I originally purchased this to use as a hair oil to combat drying in the winter. Unfortunately, it didn't work out as a hair oil, as it weighed my hair down and made it look quite greasy. As a new mom to an infant, one thing I don't need help with is having greasy hair. The lack of showers take care of that...Though I don't use this oil on my hair, I absolutely love it as a cuticle oil! Before bed, I squirt one pump of the oil into my hands and massage it in, focusing on my cuticle area. I usually have brittle, dry skin surrounding my nails, but now it looks moisturized. Will definitely purchase again as a cuticle cream.Pros- A little goes a long way. I find one squirt of this oil covers both of my hands well!- Absorbs quickly and well. Within 3-5 minutes, it is completely absorbed, with no sticky residue.- Does not feel oily after it's absorbed.- Makes my normally dry cuticles look better than ever.- No scent.- Free of toxins, with an EWG score of 0. I feel comfortable using this on my hands, which my infant son often puts in his mouth.- Pump functions incredibly well and disperses a good amount of oil (not too much, not too little). Often, I hate products with pumps because the pumps are made so poorly, but this one is great!- Well designed packaging. Glass bottle is sleek, durable and looks great on your counter.- Incredibly moisturizing. Works great on cuticles and dry skin patches that need a little extra TLC.Cons- Not the best product for hair (causes oiliness and buildup) or face (too heavy for a facial oil, especially if you have combination or oily skin).

I was really impressed with the quality of this oil. It is every bit as good as the big name oils that cost $80-$100 for the same amount. It comes in a clear pump bottle as indicated in the picture so you're not constantly exposing it to the air. I keep a bottle at home and another one in my purse and have not had any problems with either one leaking or making a mess. The only thing that would make this product even better would be if it came in an opaque or dark colored bottle to protect the oil from light. As for the oil itself, it penetrates quickly leaving the skin feeling smooth and silky. It is also excellent on nails and hair. It has a very light, slightly nutty smell that disappears in seconds. It won't leave an unpleasant odor behind as many other oils do. One of the things that gives beauty oils a bad rap, is that people use way too much of it at once and they end up with a greasy or tacky feel. One pump of this oil, warmed between the palms of my hands, is enough to do my face, neck, and décolleté. Half a pump (yes, you can easily control how much you pump out) does my nails and hands. If you do your homework on the beneficial skin nutrients to be found in beauty oils, you will quickly realize that marula oil is one of the very best and this one by Acure is a real gem.

This is a wonderful moisterizer oil that works great on my dry and oily skin. I use a dermawand and this oil works wonderful with it. I just apply a few drops to my face and then run the dermawand on my face, neck and chest. It is also great to use with facial massages.It is light weight but it really does moisturize my face. I will apply a few drops after I apply my cream at night and in the morning my face looks great, hydrated and dewy. This is also a great oil to use if you use Retinol because it helps with the dryness and flakiness that retinol can do to the skin.This is a wonderful brand and they have lots of great products that I have purchased. Even though the price is very reasonable it works like the high end oils on the market. I would recommend this oil to others for sure, even if you have oily skin.I also purchased the Squaline oil that I use during the day by adding just a few drops after applying my moisturizer and it really makes my skin glow all day long. The only oil that has given me the dewy look verses the oily look. Another oil I would recommend if you use retinol at night, my skin looks great and hydrated, it also keeps those flakes hidden. Great oils by this company!

This is a good facial oil. It is very rich and I probably wouldn't recommend it to those with oily skin. That being said, my dry skin loves it! It never really fully sinks in (at least for me), but I don't mind because I need all the moisture I can get and sometimes after a product has "sunk in" my skin just feels dry again. I like that I can pat it on my face with my hands and because it doesn't feel sticky to the touch I can leave the remaining product on my hands to moisturize them as well. It did not irritate my skin or clog my pores, which is also a plus. It does have a smell, but after the first few times I used it I didn't really notice it anymore and I'd rather it have a nutty smell than to have added perfumes and dyes. My only criticism is that I did not receive the version of the product that is shown in the image. The bottle I received was the older clear glass bottle. The packaging works just fine but I would have preferred the opaque bottle that is shown. I wish sellers would use accurate photos in their listings as it is slightly disappointing to receive something other than what is shown, especially due to packaging updates. I feel like I paid for a new bottle and got old inventory.

Me l'hanno consigliato da mettere un po' di gocce sul viso alla sera prima di andare al letto o alla mattina al posto della crema idratante. Io lo uso insieme all'olio di olivello spinoso come dopo sole oppure dopo aver fatto la maschera di argilla verde che secca un po' la pelle. Sono molto contenta dei risultati, idrata in profondità' pero' si assorbe molto facilmente. Al contrario di quello che uno pensa degli oli in viso, non lascia la pelle grassa.Grazie a quest'olio + olio di Tamanu + olio di olivello spinoso sono riuscita a far sparire i brufoli dal viso e a ridurre il grasso della zona T. Ora sento la mia pelle molto più luminosa e sana.
