Lighter material, yes! Is it not as strong? A matter of opinion, and the material difference may be a beneficially purposeful design element. I do agree on it being more comfortable, at least so far. If that changes, I will update this review.The Velcro does lock on tighter, as some have already said, which may be another benefit of the lighter material. I find it to be more stretchy, and I expect it to be cooler also. As to the material loops slipping out of the slots on the forehead brace loops, if it becomes too bothersome, just seal them off with some tape or otherwise. They are more of a convenience element than a necessity. The straps can always be undone to remove them from the mask.The price can't be beat, even for just trying it out. It it turns out not to be your cup of tea, then buy the name brand, and keep this one as an emergency backup. If I like this one just as well 30 days down the road, I will order another as a spare, and see how long I can use the first one before it wears out. Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.

Thinner and appear to be flimsier than more expensive ones, but on the positive side, are actually more comfortable. For the price, well worth the puchase. The velcro fasteners actually adhere better than the more expensive harnesses. Gave 4 stars because the flimsiness of upper straps allow them to slip off the mask loops that have a diagonal opening, but not a deal breaker as this doesnt happen often

4 stars. Fits and the "velcro" tabs hold so far. For the price, this is EXCELENT and i will be buying more. My last head gear was from resmed and i used it for two years and finally had to replace it. This wont last that long but for 10ish bucks, who cares? The velcro actually is more agressive than the oem gear and feels more secure.

I recently purchased the sky lantern to fly in memory of my brother. We let it loose on December 31st and it was a windy night. It took a little bit of time to light it but once the fire catches it is a roaring blaze. One person had to hold the top to jeep the flames from touching the sides but once it was ready, which took 30 seconds, it stood on its i wn just like a hot air ballon. Then we let it it go and it was beautiful to see it fly up into the clouds and out of sight.

Considering the prices for the other headsets are terrible, I took a chance on this one and it fit my headset perfectly. The Velcro is better than the factory issue but it is thinner so it does curl so it is now my back up. I wish the original brand had Velcro this good.

Like the product very much. It does not cut off the circulation in my neck as it sits above it. However the last one I ordered was 6 months ago. It started to shred. Could have been a defect. But this meets my needs.

This was purchased to replace my OEM ResMed strap that was showing its age after about a year of daily use. The differences between this and the RedMed were immediately obvious. The Sunset is made from a non-stretchy material that did not conform comfortably, especially when my head moved. Because it did not stretch to adjust as I moved, I needed to make it pretty tight and often uncomfortable. To make things worse, after less than a week of use, the bottom straps rolled into skinny ropes that added to my discomfort.I am using my old gear again until I can replace this item.

Was initially excited by the lower price-point, but just after 30 days of using it, I discovered why it was cheaper. Straps began to fray and rip. There is no strength to add shape to the straps, so they twist and thin after repeated use. I also have a large head and this isn’t quite big enough. Tightening the strap has made the mask dig into my face, causing extra pressure on the bridge of my nose. While it was nice to pay less, it is a little over a month later and I just purchased the more expensive one as a replacement for this. I am hoping this stays together long enough for my replacement to get here.
