Pros: less harsh on my hair than drugstore hair dyes, no overpowering odor. Con: hair shampoo, conditioner included in the kit left my hair feeling dry afterward. Overall, great product. No more big-brand hair color for me. I used the Chestnut Mahogany over my dark brown hair (with grays on the crown & along hair line). After a couple of weeks, it faded to a nice reddish brown. I now use my usual shampoo for color treated hair & a deep conditioner afterward. To maintain the mahogany hue, I use a color depositing conditioner once or twice a week.

Great color best match my skin tone, and good coverage on the grey hairs! The process of simple and quick, without strong smell!

I hold licenses in all areas of cosmetology... and owned my own vocational college...This color is the Best... the Safest... and this particular shade is absolutely georgeous... I have worn it for years... and each and every time I go out I get compliments about what a beautiful color my hair is.I read through the other erroneous and ignorant negative reviews here and they are truly written out of ignorance... and/or from people who just want to be negative and damaging because that is their nature.This is the best color... safest color... I have found in my 40 years of being in this industry!

Easy on the hair, however, more expensive than others.

Worked on my brown hair, left it on for 45 minutes which is an extra 15 mins than recommended on the box. Turned my medium dark brown hair to a red wine/deep cherry colour. Used all of the conditioner provided in one go which left my hair silky smooth. Colour runs for first 4-5 washes and each time my hair looked even more red. Hair does need lots of conditioner first few washes to avoid it feeling dried out. I have allergies and sensitive skin and this product was completely fine, did not irritate skin at all.Updated this rating and lowered rating. After 6 weeks my hair went from a deep cherry red to a bright orange, the colour loss continued after each wash even though i was using a shampoo for coloured hair. I have since purchased another naturtint dye in brown and have had zero colour running when washing my hair, so it seems to be an issue with this red shade in particular.

I had thought this was the exact same brand I had previously purchased but the name is very very slightly different. It was only 99p so can’t complain it did the job the same as the dearer one.

Absolutely love the resultant hair colour.Like all red hair colourant it continues to lose colour for a little while after initial colouring.But I really like this and will use it again. My hair feels soft and in good condition, unlike after some other more popular brands!

4 stars as, while I love it, it fades much quicker than conventional hair dyes. It is less full of junk though so the trade is worth it.

Lovely colour, great for greys. Lasts, but best of all no poor animal has had to suffer!
