The board was in a shipping box in it's own very nice box that is suitable for gift giving. The board is crafted heavy weight bamboo with a grove running around the top edge of the board. The grove is wide and deep enough to hold liquids or bits of chopped foods, herbs or vegetables. The chopping and cutting area is roomy enough to chop on without crowding.The board has a very good finish and is nice enough to be left on your counter. As a bonus a small container of oil for the board are included along with a small round sponge to apply the oil. Directions are easy to read and follow.The bamboo cutting board is definitely a must have for cooks who enjoy adding their own touches of cut herbs, spices, vegetables and fruits to a recipe. I really love the fact that this organic bamboo cutting board is handmade here in the USA. It seems far too many things come from China and the quality shows. Up until recently I had been using plastic cutting boards but learned that each time you cut something on one, little bits of microplastics get into the foods you are cutting, and thus you end up ingesting them. These boards are pfas free and safe to cut on. They also include oil for oiling your bamboo cutting board. This is necessary as you will see that over time it the wood will look "dry" and need oil to make it look as good as new again. For less than $20, this is an excellent gift for newly weds or for even replacing your current cutting board.

I like to have a couple different sized cutting boards on my kitchen counter and my old one had worn out. The size of this cutting board (12" x 9") works perfectly for what I am using it for. I wanted a slightly smaller one for the right side of my stove. I use this mostly for "dry, non-meat" foods (i.e., buttering toast/muffins, cutting sandwiches, etc.). This cutting board is very well made and durable, even though it is only 0.75 inches thick. I just added rubberized feet to the bottom corners, so it doesn't mar the surface of my counter. It also looks beautiful. I really liked how well it was boxed, so it would make a very nice gift too. The sample mineral oil, applicator and instructions are a nice bonus. I feel the price for this cutting board is an exceptional value, given the durable, easy to care bamboo material and quality construction. I highly recommend this bamboo cutting board.

This is a beautifully made cutting board that comes with conditioning oil and applicator to get you started in properly preserving it as it’s used. There are instructions to aid you if you’re new to wood cutting boards which I appreciate.It’s a good size being not too big and heavy but still gives ample space to cut and chop.I’m happy to have this on the back of my counter propped up when not in use because it’s such a nice looking board. It should last a good long time with proper use and care and I absolutely think you won’t be disappointed.

The bamboo cutting board is perfect for chopping meals for 1-2 people. I got this for my veggie meal prep to chop fruits and veggies for juicing, smoothies, and veggies to go in the food dehydrator. The size is good to easily tuck away in a cabinet or to leave out on the counter. The bamboo wood is nice and smooth and the presentation is really cool and would make a nice gift. When you open the box they have a purple heart sponge and mineral oil on top so you can prep your cutting board. The board has a juice groove to help keep your counters clean and overall I think it is a good quality board and would recommend highly as I love mine. Thank you!

Not too heavy at all! I tend to shy away from using the larger boards because they are so heavy and annoying to have to wash. This is just the perfect size for 80% of my cooking!
