The Happy Howie's treats were highly recommended to me by a dog trainer, who gave me some and my dog loved them! So I ordered a couple of pkgs from Amazon. Unfortunately, both packages (one was Chicken, the other was Lamb) contained dry, dessicated treats that basically crumbled under light pressure. They were not like the treats I got from the trainer. They were not moist and "meaty". They were dry and light and crumbly. Not sure what happened with this product as the package appeared intact and unopened when I received it. But I don't think I'll risk my money on it again. I took pictures of the dry product and the many crumbs and pieces after attempting to cut a few, but I can't seem to find them at the minute. Can I add to / edit my post?

My dogs inhale these. They are easy to cut to make smaller pieces. I like that they are much healthier than most treats you can buy and they are made in the USA!

Not sure what I expected, but much harder and more brittle than I thought it would be. Very strong smoked scent. Dog loves it, but not as much as the softer Happy Howie’s lamb treat (soft in a tube)

My black Lab absolutely loves these sausages !! He would probably eat the whole bag in a day if I let him. Mike T.
