Army Men: Sarge's War

The controls are definitely something you have to get used to but besides that, fun gameplay, and nostalgic if you played the other Army Men games.

I love the Army Men series, I've been playing the games since I was a kid. I currently own all the Army Men games for PlayStation 1. I really loved the Sarge's Hero's and Air Attack games the most.So, I bought an original Xbox after Christmas of 2015 and recently discovered that there was an Army Men Sarge's War for Xbox, excited I purchased it a few days ago and received it yesterday in the mail. After playing the game until like the 11th mission, I decided I can give this game a review.At first the controls felt a little fast, different, and difficult. There's no way to change the camera/look speed so I was worried, but after playing a while the controls became easy to use. The game play was something I'd except from an army men game, and the story has so far been cool and a little saddening due to the horribly devastating event that took place at the beginning of the game. Great graphics, I like how the guns are metal now instead of plastic.Now things I didn't like. I wasn't happy to realize that voice actors changed for most or all characters, it kind of ruins the game experience a little bit. Sarge just doesn't sound like Sarge anymore, and Grimm was almost spot on but had a little difference in his voice. I also don't like how the soldiers have an accent that make them sound like a mafia member or something. The apparence of the tan in the game has changed, they look better graphic wise but they should of had a different look about them, they should have looked like the tan soldiers from the cutseens in Sarge's Hero's instead.All in all though this a great game with a great story. I noticed that it wasn't made by 3DO this time but I'm actually impressed by Global Star Software's work with this game. If you like the Army Men series then this game is for you!

It is a fun game to play. It was very creative using the different areas of the kitchen and home as battle ground for the game.The stroy line is simple and entertaining. This is not a game that I would play over and over again. This is a good game for a pre-teen, or child to play. They still get too shoot something without having to view any graphic violence.

I haven't played an Army Men game in a long time but loved the series. I picked up Sarge's War and this game renewed my love for the Army Men games. After playing this game, I will definetly go back and play the others. I highly recommend this game for anyone who has played the others and liked them. There are a couple of them out there that were not fun to play, this is not one of them.

It's a poorly developed game but it's a memory from my childhood so I had to get it. The seller was really good. They're called Vindawg Canada. Used-like new is a good description of the condition. Shouldn't have to worry about it screwing up my Xbox 360.
