Bona Bidet BS 2NHC Dual Nozzle Hot & Cold Water

The town was out of toilet paper. My husband had recently visited the Hutterite colony. While there, they showed him the bidets they all used. They were similar to these. He thought we ought to get one.My response was lackluster. I did the research, picked this ones on features, and figured I would use it once or twice to say I tried it, then ignore the whole thing.Instructions weren't great, but it still was an easy install. Everything you need is supplied. The warm water line was a bit short for us and we bought an additional length of braided line. I picked this bidet in part because of the braided supply lines. Some of these bidets have plastic lines. Reviewers comments frequently consisted of leaking issues. For the extra $10.00, get the better lines. My other requirement was hot and cold water. I didn't think 2 spray nozzles would be necessary, but for women, they are a must!The bidet has 3 dials. When it's plumbed in, select how warm you want the water. I never touch that now that we have the perfect temperature. The top dial is the nozzle cleaner. I run this to warm the temperature of the water. I turn on the nozzle cleaner as I'm doing my business. Turn that off and then turn on the middle dial. This has enough pressure to clean paint off metal. Once done, I still use a couple squares of toilet paper to test that it worked satisfactorily and then use an old washcloth to dry. My husband put up hooks to hang the washcloths. The other setting on this dial says woman. The spray is aimed a bit more forward. I'm a clean freak and I love it.

This review is for model BB2NHC. This newer, replacement Model BS2NHC is the same except the control panel has been moved a couple of inches lower and the toilet attach points are slightly different. All plumbing and controls appear the identical. This seems well built for an inexpensive unit - the plumbing lines and valves seem to be good quality. The instructions are poor but installation is simple for any handy person. Our house was built in 2000 and plumbing lines connected easily with no extra parts needed. Most installations with a cabinet under the sink will need a hole saw to route the hot water line to under the sink. The hose are braided stainless steel and the hot water hose is long enough to reach a faucet about 4 feet away (allowing extra for indirect routing). All fittings and hoses use rubber washers so teflon tape is not needed. Before purchase, I made sure that replacement hoses and fittings are available on the manufacturer's website. In operation, the nozzles work well and retract behind a shield when not in use. You can use the "nozzle clean" function to allow warm water to reach the nozzle before use. We have only had this unit in use a few days so we will so how it holds up over time.

Bought March 25, 2020 - Broke August 19, 2020.Before it broke it worked well. My wife and I loved it and it will be replaced.The only reason I'm giving it 1 star is because it broke (can't turn it off) in less than 6 months.Now excuse me it's morning and I have to get back to uninstalling this bidet before it costs me a fortune.To the manufacturer: DO BETTER!

It is expensive, but working good.
