Nice non slip feet on the back
Used this to make a "blending board" for blending fiber for spinning. I used a 12 inch by 12 inch blending cloth that I attached with stainless steel staples in the average size. No difficulty with stapling, practiced on a scrap board first. So easy and the whole project was less than $100. The board worked perfectly, has a nice handle for transport and looks great! Non slip on the bottom is an extra benefit.Idea for this is from Jillian Eve on YouTube and the cloth came from The Woolery.

OK, But...
This product should have received 5 stars but the finish is quite rough, especially around the edges but also on the cutting surface. A little attention to the sanding process and it would help a lot. Love the grippers on our granite counter tops. This is my second board from this company. The last one split but it was probably 5 years old.

Beautiful board!
thinner than expected but I actually like that as it is lighter than the thick ones and therefore easier to pick up and clean

Great cutting boards that last
This is my second purchase of these cutting boards. I bought my first one maybe 5 years ago and have used it extensively over that time. The board is sturdy and doesn’t slip, as per the name. I’ve never soaked my board in water, although I do dunk it in hot water while washing it. And I’ve applied food grade mineral oil to it a few times over the years, probably averaging once every 6-12 months.I decided I needed a second of these boards a few days ago when I was trimming a pork shoulder. Because we’re doing so much cooking recently, I’ve been using my wooden board for bread and vegetables and plastic boards for raw meat. As I was trimming the pork, the plastic board kept spinning around and around and around on the slightly wet countertop; definitely not a problem I have with the Gripperwood.I’ve posted pictures of my old (darker) and new (lighter) boards. Not sure if the color changed over time or what. Obviously not as dark as shown in the listing picture, but plenty nice looking.

Works great, looks good, not an art piece if you expect to actually use it.
Got this to replace broken old cutting board, old school board, that was too narrow for large items. It does look nice with the material and pattern but that isn't why I bought it so if was lighter/darker than the picture if didn't matter to me. However it is close to the picture, though no exact, if you wanted/needed exact for an art piece that might be an issue if you wanted a good size cutting board than this is that. Scratches look kind of 'bad' on this since *I* am used to my old board with hundreds if not thousands of cut marks on it so I see all the ones I made on this. I also only use this for large items I had problems with on my old board, mainly lettuce and tomatoes when I'm making salad, won't dirty the old board for a tomato if I'm using this for lettuce.Using mineral oil to seal this and the old board, the marks look 'better' that not using the mineral oil but again if you want an art piece like some reviewers seemed to want, fine go buy one and never use it.

Large cutting board with good features
Ive only just gotten this cuttting board and from my picture you can see the size comparison next to the stove! It is huge. Was not expeting this large of a board but it is nice to have more space. The wood is the most stunning quality, you can tell by the weight of the boad. It also looks to be treated so when your wash it the water does not seem to be soaking in - very nice compared to other boards I've had that were bamboo that warped from water usage. There are also grips underneath which also helps the board dry out. All in all for the price, I'd say this is a solid buy - my favorite part still the wood grain- it is stunning!!

Nice wood, not bamboo! Take care of it and it will last
I've had this board for several months, use it often (not quite every day), and it has held up nicely. Not sure why others have had issues, it seems fine for me. Just avoid serrated knives, and be sure to wash and DRY it after use. No dishwasher; if you keep it oiled (preserves it) then it should clean up easily. I like wooden boards and this is a good economical choice... you can spend lots for a good end-grain, but if you are looking for something simpler then this is a good product.

Very impressed with this board
First of all, it's a really nice looking board. That's not particularly important, but it doesn't hurt either.Another thing, the rubber feet are not what I was expecting. They're not like round rubber dots, all four are good sized pieces of rubber.I've used it 4 times now. It works great for cutting up veggies and potatoes and such. Then I brought out the big guns (my cleaver) and cut up some pork ribs. Now with that I did some serious no fooling around banging on the board. Thus thing did not move at all. Those big rubber feet really worked. Put some coconut oil on it after I was done and it looked just fine after.
