Good hobby digital caliper
Use this for school work. Functions good, checks okay on gage blocks. At this price won't cry if it mysteriously disappears.

Pretty darned good tool at a great price
Found mine had an assembly issue. Had to remove the coversion tsble sticker, to access screws. Removed and realigned screws to seat deep and make it accurate. Noticed a slight machining issue, with lock at a light snugness, just to keep sliding by light bumps, yet adjustable to meaure. Did some light sanding along the edge that the lock seats (about mid way from 3" to 4.5" area). Smoothed out the tightness when lock is lightly snug for keeping accuracy. If lock is left loose, closing jaws when measuring will be off by .005 give or take. All are small issues, which corrected requires very few resets to zero, if any, when taken out and used.

Very easy to use
I don't know how long the battery will last, but it does come with an extra.

The item was sent very quickly. It looks great but not having used it yet I cannot comment on quality or performance.

Don't buy - poor quality, worse than "Normal" chinese calipers, poor return options
First one I received did not turn on, in addition, the caliper tips were not in good alignment, but offset from each other. Amazon sent a replacement - need to return the first as normal, selected a Kohls return as it is the most convenient for me.The replacement did actually work, but again the tips were offset, although not so bad as the first one. This one, however, had a really sticky slide, as if the slide lock was on.I am a retired machinist, have maybe 4-5 sets of "Good" mane brand calipers, and 8-10 no brand imports. In general, the imports are almost as good as the name brand, but suffer in durability, especially in battery covers and slide rollers. These calipers are by far the worst quality (fit and feel - I did not bother to check accuracy against gauge blocks) of any calipers that I have ever seen or used.Went to return this one also as "defective" - no option given to replace it. So, OK - but only options available were Amazon hub locker - not going there, it's downtown Portland, 25 miles away, no parking, either - or UPS. Ups is not that attractive, seems to always have a line, but still better than Amazon. So, for $16.00, I need to drive to two different locations, wait in two different lines, in order to return. I will do it, just to be stubborn, but it does not make sense if your time is worth anything at all - maybe that is Amazon's intent?Anyway, recommend something else - or just go to Harbor Freight and buy from them, if you have one nearby - easier to check what you are getting, and return right there if you do not like them. Just waiting for Costco to sell the 5 pack - they are the best on returns of defective items.
