Q: Can your product be safely installed under the subfloor between the joists?

Not sure i put it above the subfloor embedded in mortar

Q: I am adding a 25x50 room to my house. Can i heat it with your product with an 8 inch spacing i live upstate new york

Hello, the industry standard is 3 inch spacing which provides 12watts/sqft. If you space the cables at 8 inches your power density will drop to 4.5watts/sqft. Chances are it'll take the chill off the floor but it won't heat the area. Depending on your insulation properties you may be able to go with 4 inches, meaning a 2400w cable will cover +/- 250sqft instead of the 200 Sqft at 3 inch spacing. Therefore a 25x50 (1250sqft) will require 5 x 2400watt (2.4kw) cables. Hope this helps.
