Supportive, helpful for the loss of a pet
This book provided some wonderful insight into your current and past experiences with pets. Is it really possible to have the same pet come back in this life? In a past life? Have you experienced life as another animal in a past life? This book does an excellent job at explaining these types of questions. I still have some very raw emotions from my cat Payton I lost a few years ago, so before even reading this book, I asked myself "What makes him so special?" Is is really possible I could have lived a past life with him? Will he come back to me someday? I really hope so. It could be the fact that he was the first cat I ever truly owned while being out on my own, that we've been through 3 apartments and my marriage and having my baby, or the fact that the weekend he passed away, he came into the kitchen to say goodbye after a fun weekend with my best friend. I had to watch him die on the table before the veterinarian could assist with his passing, and that scenario constantly replays in my mind.Recently I had tried reading another book on losing a pet, and I was only able to get through the first few chapters. This author said that once a pet is gone, it's gone for good. Most of us want to believe that they are near us when we need them the most, and this book provided the comfort I needed on a spiritual level. Although this provides "exercises" to self hypnotize yourself and to do these sessions the author does with her clients on you own, I really do not have a lot of quiet time to myself to try something like this at the moment with a 5 year old and two indoor cats, but I might try a few of these in the future in order to maybe help me further heal from my loss.I really enjoyed the story about the grandma coming back as a cardinal as well. I lost my grandmother the same year I lost my cat. She had a love of cardinals and collected them. I made some beads made into the shape of an angel out of her funeral flowers along with a charm on it that says "When a cardinal appears, your angel is near". This hangs on the rearview mirror of my truck. This spring of 2020, my parent's have had a female cardinal try to fly into the window, insistent on trying to get into the house, just like this cardinal did and where I am sure my grandmother is at peace, part of me wonders if she was not paying a little visit to my parents in the house she used to live in. Unfortunately, my mom's cat killed this bird. This book is uplifting and guaranteed to put a smile on your face if you have ever known the love of a pet. This was a great read, thank you NetGalley!

animals do reincarnate
Over the years I have owned more cats than dogs. I cry when they have crossed over. I have pictures of them as I see many of the cats I now have resemble prior cats as well as my dogs. The stories she shares are very touching. At first it appears the author is talking about our past lives not animals, then it makes sense that she is indicating the pass lives of the animals. I like the different types of meditations at the end of the book, it is so soothing. One other issue is that animals do reincarnate or she says and gives examples of it.What I do not agree with is that we were an animal in prior lives. Though, it is not the same, I do have animal spirits around me, but does not mean I was one of them. Then again this is only my opinion.

Reading This was a Healing Experience For Me
In 2013 I lost a cat to old age and kidney disease. It is hard to explain to someone who hasnt been close to a little four legged person the great sense of loss I felt. I often wondered where he was and if he was ok. I absolutely feel better now after reading this excellent book by Ms Kaehr.First I never thought Id see hem again in another life or that maybe we had had lives together in the past. Now I do. The many examples and detailed stories of others experiences with their pet friends was fascinating. I have had cats and dogs in my life so I resonated with the dog stories also. I have never had an exotic pet or other that isnt common but all pets have souls I now believe so maybe that snake my son had when he was 7 that he loved ( I have never been close to a snake emotionally) had been with him in a previous life or even had been a different creature. This book was the most interesting and worthwhile book on reincarnation and pets that I have ever read. Five stars definitely.

Maybe You Knew Your Pet From a Past Life. Find Out How.
Shelley A. Kaehr is a gifted and renowned past-life regression expert. In her book, Past Lives with Pets she takes us through engrossing stories about her clients’ regressions into past lives with their pets. Each story is revealing and captivating and resonated in my heart. Her writing style is scintillating, and each story grabbed my attention so deeply that I couldn’t put the book down. This is a beautiful book with heartwarming and enchanting stories of not only past lives with animals, but past lives of animals, cats, dogs, horses, and other animals like birds and guinea pigs. I loved this book so much and I cannot recommend it highly enough. For an engrossing and heartwarming experience, sit down with this book and see where it takes you.

Loved it!
Loved it! After losing a pet life gets pretty rough. It feels as if you’ve lost a family member. That’s what my animals are to me. I think most pet owners will agree. This book has help me realize that even though we’re here temporarily in each other’s life, we will surely meet again. To me that’s reassuring beyond words. I loved every case discussed in this book. Each fills me with hope and more love for my animals. This book was beautifully written for all of us animal lovers but I think everyone will find something special in it. I believe we all can learn from and appreciate animals even if we don’t own a pet (or a pet own us).I enjoyed this book so much I will read it again and will highly recommend it to family and friends.
