Safety and fit is paramount
I've owned a Tipperary eventer vest in the past, used for over 10 years and it was always snug and stiff. I was expecting the same for this new one but was super pleasantly surprised at how flexible, breathable, and comfortable it is. Something has changed for the better and now I can ride cross country feeling safely protected without feeling like I'm wearing a corset and struggling to breathe. And, the piping around the perimeter adds a nice touch. Love this vest!

Good quality
Good quality but sizing is off. Way too big. Pretty long in the back, touches the cantle of western saddle.

lightweight, flexible, and comfortable
I mean, I haven't truly tested this by falling off in it, but it's lightweight, flexible, and very comfortable. Compared with the old single-piece kevlar-vest style, this is a tremendous improvement. It's warmer than not wearing it, but so far not stiflingly so.One of these days I'm bound to hit the dirt in it ... I'll try to come back and update this review when it happens!

A small is a bit big and sloppy on my 14 yr old who's 5'4" and 110 lbs

Made in China! Zipper broke the first time I used it.... for almost $300 this should have better quality
