This timer doesn't have lots of fancy programming features. Some view it as a drawback, but I see it as a benefit. Its simplicity means it's very easy to set up, it's inexpensive, and it doesn't break! I've found the timer features it does have to be enough for most situations, and I like how it's so easy to set it to manual. I've been through two summer seasons with this now and I like how it just works. Previously I had a much "fancier" timer that was a real pain to program, needed to be reset too often, and ultimately didn't last more than one season before it broke.

If what you need is a timer that goes on and off once or twice a day on a set 6 a.m. and/or 6 p.m. schedule, this is what you should buy. If you have plants that need a little extra water once in a while outside that schedule, it's a nightmare. In that case, you turn it to manual, set your kitchen timer so you remember to turn it off later. Then it becomes complicated to get it back on its regular schedule. It takes several trips over several days to to change the number of days between waterings to get it back to the number of days you originally had it set. Maybe it would be simpler to do a full watering early! I may try that.

Look hard at the dials before buying. This is not your typical water timer. At the top you set either every day(1), every other(2) day, every three days(3) up to every seven days. Your choice applies to both outlets. Each faucet can then can be set Independently to water once or twice a day for 15 or 30 or 60 minutes at 6:00 or 7:00 am and or 6:00 or 7:00 pm. A rather unusual design but if it remains functional I can make it work for me and may end up satisfied with it. I was surprised though about how it worked. For example, I set mine to water every two days and one faucet to run for one hour in the morning at 6am. The other is set to run for one hour at 7am and 7pm for one hour. It is nice and easy because of the limited options but I can see why some people are displeased.

This is a great budget hose timer. Each spigot has it's own dial, and it's very easy to program. If you want something that has a moisture meter and an infinite number of programs, this isn't it. This has a limited number of options and a digital clock. It runs on a battery - set the clock, turn each dial, and it will run every day at the specified times. And if it rains (or rain is expected) just rotate the dial to turn it off.I've been using this for a few months now without any issues. Hopefully I'll get a few years' use out of it.

This timer works well so far. I have only used it once, but it performed exactly as described. The directions were clear and concise. I was able to program it in about five minutes. I was able to set the two zones independently. Zone B comes on at 6 a.m. and zone A at 7 a.m. It would have been nice if batteries were included. It would also have been nice if there were more than just two time options, i.e. 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., but it just so happens I water my gardens in the early morning. Hopefully this timer last a long time. I will update this review if I encounter any issues.

This is great. Let me address the few poor reviews I saw on this. 1 yes the two zones can act independently as long as you want both zones to water 1 a day, 1 2days etc., not 1 zone once a day a one zone once a week otherwise can do everything you want. Another review about it being hard to operate. I think as long as your more than 6 months old you’ll find this very very easy to setup, I’ve tried a bunch of different models and this by far is the easiest to operate. This works great and gets the job done, not very fancy but inexpensive and works well

I put new batteries in the product and it has totally stopped working after a year and 7 months. Product also has begun to leak

I bought this for simple control of two zones. The knob interface servers this purpose perfectly. There are limited scheduling options, so if you’re looking for fine granularity, this is not for you. If you want to turn a zone on or off this works awesome.
