Q: Is the neck pickup threaded and able to be mounted to a pickguard?

Yes the neck pickup can be fitted to a pickguard, using the supplied screws. Mine was an easy fit to a Tele Thinline model. The pickups look and sound excellent.

Q: Is it recommended to wax pot the neck pickup prior to install? Presume the bridge pickup is fine based on reviews. Thank you.

I didn't wax pot the neck pup and I'm not seeing a feedback issue. They are already wax potted and sealed from what I see (wax residue around the edges of the pups). If you really want that extra protection against feedback you can wax pot it but for me it wasn't an issue.
